Soda water/mineral water/sparkling water
Hey, so i just had this thought. At least i think it was a thought.... it sorta hurt
jks!
anyway! so the guy i am assistant to at work, he wants to lose weight so hes asking me to get him mineral water, which i thought was adorable that he thinks mineral water will help him lose weight
and then I was thinking... its like 0 calories, its water, and its carbonated so it will keep you full!
and it doesnt cause cancer like Pepsi and Coke
...
is it a weight loss aid?

Not that I know of. Check the sodium levels. We don't want him to retain water or have his blood pressure go up. If the sodium level is good, I say mo' wata, mo' betta.

umm no. Coke and Pepsi will not cause cancer, however overconsumption of a lifetime will cause different problems.
now mineral water...he will be fine and you might wanna sit down and explain to him that just drinking mineral water will not make him loose weight, but drinking more water is a good start...you know the routine...diet, training etc...

gYmgIrL,
From experience and at least three visits to very unhealthy deserts with the army, I can say that mineral water doesn't make you full. Everytime I went to these deserts, that's all the army gave us mineral water. After drinking it so long it makes you sick. I don't know how it just does. My suggestion for your friend is to tell him to drink tap water or spring water.
