Spinach salad????
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone had a good recipe for a tastey spinach salad. I'm not a cook but was told spinach salad is a good side for salmon and was going to make salmon on wednesday. Don't just want to throw some spinach on a plate and add some vinegrette. Want something tastey.

Since I dont know your taste here is a web site i found with a bunch. Spinach Salad Recipes - A Variety of Spinach Salads
My wife also makes a spinach salad where she takes 2 pears and simmers them in a orange juice and wine mixture. Thens she takes feta cheese and walnuts crumbled on top with the oj wine mix as dressing. Its pretty good.

Spinach is my favorite salad greens. I use baby spinach with some sliced strawberries, almonds and a balsamic vinegrette and if I am not cutting fat...I add crumble feta cheese.

I leave the (baby) spinach raw and clean it and toss it with some other greens I brown some onions with pam salt and pepper toss with the green to coat and wilt the spinach a bit. I've eaten it with or without dressing, pretty tasty.

I like strawberries or mixed berries, fresh with a mix vinaigrette of apple cider vinegar, balsamic and olive oil or hemp or mct or a blend...... with some toasted almonds. You can also add crumbled goat cheese.

Becuase of it's buttery nature, spinach always tastes best when mixed with an acidy component. you'll notice almost all the recipes given so far contain berries and vinaigrettes, this is the standard mix. To jazz this up add a lowfat sharp cheddar, dried cranberries or cherries on a salad. If your not watching carbs really closely, shredd spinach and basil, dice tomato and garlic, saute some penne pasta in very small amount of olive oil, when the pasta gets slightly crispy toss in the rest, remove from the heat and stir until the spinach is slightly wilted, put this under salmon or halibut.
