Default Red Wine

Okay okay okay. . . I know alcohol is bad for the diet blah blah blah. But I really, really, really miss my Merlot at dinner time. I haven't drank in like 4 months. Does anyone drink a glass of wine or alcohol daily and has noticed there wasn't that many negative effects to their training?

Yes alcohol decrease testo levels, etc. But really out of curiousity does 1 glass really hurt?

Your opinions and feedback greatly appreciated. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

PS - work is getting to me, so I need a DRINK maybe a double!!!

A number of benefits to red wine, and possible benefits to other alcohols (though they tend to get outweighed when you go over 2 drinks a day). But, as you said, it kills your test production for an hour or so, and it's fairly high calorie.

I drank and lifted for years to no apparent side effects, though I quit when I worked on getting as lean as possible. If you can afford the test-less hour, drink up. I'm slowly getting back off the wagon, mostly just limiting to 2-3 drinks on the weekend - so far, so good.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I was just having a bad day yesterday. I actually drank 2 bottles with my fiance, regardless of what I was supping with. I just NEEDED a drink or few to take the edge off of work and stuff.

I think I might just drink a glass over the weekends instead of during the work week. Today woke up struggling, but hey sure made me feel better last night.

As per supplements I am normally finished taking them around 3pm, since I wake up fairly early, and have my first dose of supps at 5am, my last dose of any supp is again 3pm, so I think I was fine.
