New York Sports Club
I have belonged to NY Sports Club for several years. They have many locations and the staff at all of the branches of the club are very helpful. Anyone else with similiar experiences?

Can you use any of their facilities at any time or are you limited to the club you belong too?

Check out their website, they have certain passes of membership levels, like gold, and higher and even a night time one. Where some will allow you to go whenever you want at any of their clubs, some only at non-peak hours and such. www.mysportsclubs.com

They're like $100 a month I heard? I haven't worked out since moving in from upstate last August -- I used to swim. How are their pool facilities?

Actually its 70 dollars a month. If you want to be able to go to any NYSC any time you want on and off peak hours it can start to cost that much a month.

EX- NYSC Member...
I went to NYSC for years and every so often the monthly rate went higher and higher...I was getting great results too, and I would have still been going if the rates didn't go from 45.00 a month to 60.00 a month....I went in to cancel and I told the guy that it was so much to pay a month that it was actually cheaper to drink and smoke. Now i see that it's went up even more.... if i ever go back there I better get a killer deal, but I know that won't happen.

I've been going to NYSC for about four months now. I agree, it's a bit pricey but the equipment at my location is almost brand new and the gym is very clean. Ample parking and plenty of eye candy lol.
I used to belong to an independent gym and when I came home from school I was looking to rejoin. Let's just say when I went in there I was not pleased. Dirty floors, one unpleasant man at the desk, a bunch of nearly broken down pieces of equipment and plenty of a-holes.
I am pleased with NYSC.

I was a member there a long long time ago when it started at 35$ a month, after years of going it slowly crept up to 65$ a month so I quit, that was getting a little to much money to spend on that place, so I went to a place that is cheaper, not as good, but they got the equiptment, and it's good enough for me.

They are a top notch gym here in New York... if you have incredably low standards!
Equinox has much nicer facilities and a ton more classes.
There are a ton of training gyms here in New York if you want serious training David Barton on the Upper East for 1.
But New York Sports Club ugh?!?
