Off topic: whats the best time to join a gym.

I heard there are sales and it changes differently. Someone said to join near the end of the month because the Manager doesn't meet the month's quota.

When does it goes the cheapest?

How much do you guys pay for enrollment and monthly?

I'm leaning towards Lifetime Fitness soon after I used out my gift certficates from different gyms.

I called them and I don't want to talk to sales.

A person that graduated a year before I did that went to the same highschool became a membership advisor at Lifetime. I found him at myspace and I'm currently asking for info

I joined Sport and Health in Tysons Corner, Virginia, at the end of the month, and the manager got me a great deal because he met his month's quota. Normal price was over 100 a month and he gave it to me for less than 90, also gave me a multiclub pass, in case other gyms had equipment and services that they didn't have, all included without an activation fee, and I can quit whenever I want. Thought it was pretty nice. Might be because I am a student though, not sure.

Agreed end of the month and winter. Spring probably worst since people want to get in shape for summer

I delivered mail to Gold's for a week, and got hooked up for $19 a month for all the gyms in Vegas. Some places run specials, I got my wife in for $20 a month.

At Lifetime (I work there) we usually have better initiation fee discounts during the summer time since more people work out during the winter time than summer. There isn't really a way to predict the discounts as corp. generally lets us know a couple days ahead of the special. And if the club is at capacity (centreville and ffx) we rarely have specials since we dont want to over crowd the facilities...

Let me know if you are looking into Lifetime still and I can see what I can do for you...
