Default Good Ol city recreation center

here in my city we have two big brand new rec centers in good neighborhoods.
110.00 a year.

big cardio, big weights, lots of machines, olympic size pool, nba size full court gym...lots of t.v.s, aerobics rooms, im talking state of the art that can put the best ballys,24hour,lafitness,la boxing to shame....seriously, i was shitting my pants when i walked in and saw the place.....very underrated & people always over look them and go spend massive amounts at those other places .......we'll at least here our rec centers are very nice [the newer ones built within the past 5 yrs]....they just finished two brand new centers this past 2 years around me....very nice too!

alot of stuff.

all for 110.00 a year for residents.

i used to go to golds gym which was fine and dandy they had cool people there, cept for the "yell all over the gym while doing a rep for attention big wannabe mr universe dudes".....we always laughed at them doing insane shit then walking around stiff as a plank trying to drink water but cannot get the bottle to their lips...hahahahahaa, anyway, golds was fun

but at 110.00 a year for what the new rec centers offer is unbeatable, i was paying 98.00 every 4 months at golds....

anyone else go to their city rec centers?

It must be where you live and such! I checked a rec center gym where I live (in Northern VA) and it was like 300-400 bucks a year (depending if you got student discounts or not). It seems like the people moving into my area are loaded or crazy since not only gym memberships are expensive (For the real gyms), but everything else as well. Yep, back to the creepy old basement for me! ;-)

What area of the world is your city rec center? In NYC $110 might buy you a swift kick in the ass and a decent meal for two, but that's about it. In FL, that's good for two or three months (though no dinnner or kick).

NYC rec centers are only $75 per year for adults.

Great deal.
