Question New Smoothie Shop, NEED your thoughts???

Hey to everyone,

I've been asked to help a new Smoothie shop here in the Charlotte, NC area as they want to see what I can do to help get customers in the doors!!

Quick background on me I used to have a Smoothie shop in Florida 5 years ago and sold it at a high point in the economy, but ever since I let it go I've always wanted to get one going again.

Anyways now the economy is terrible and folks are a bit less likely to buy luxury items so I have my work cut out for me on getting this very nice shop rocking and rolling. As the owners have put a lot of money into it as the inside of this shop looks like a Class Act Bar!

So what I'd like to hear from you'll is ideas on what would get you to pull over your car, walk across the parking lot and into the shop?

Then what do you look for or would like to be able to see while you are inside the shop?

**Few new things I'm going to bring to the shop are the following, let me know if they are good or bad ideas.

1. Bring in work out basic vitamins: proteins, creatines, glutamines, etc...
But they are at whole sale price with only a few dollar mark up so can't be beat on prices.(I'm also going to have gnc, muscle max and Vitamin world prices to show the difference.)
2. Any supplement you buy from our shop I'll add to your smoothie for free (I'll even add in the protein but you have to pay protein shake price, but I will add yours in the cup if you'd like extra protein.)
3. Most smoothie shops charge a DOLLAR to add any of there own vitamins into your smoothie, with us we'll charge 50 cents!!!
4. All gym members will get 20% any smoothie purchase!
5. Buy 5 smoothies get 1 free.

So those are just some perks to get the ball rolling. Any of this sound good or what guys I need some help. So any thoughts would be great to have from you. Thanks for your time upfront from a fellow extreme fitness partner!!!

One thing that keeps people using the shop at my gym, in addition to different drinks and foods, they offer to mix your home brought pre or post workout drink for you. They will add ice, water, and their special non dairy non fat yogurt to it for $1.75.

that punch card gets people every time, everyones out for something free. I used to have monthly raffle's for regular customers with my last business and let them pick from a bunch of shit i had laying around. You could offer a tub of protein, jar of supps or whatever it is you are wanting to push for the prize.

It's not a lot, but it keeps business going.

Convenience is the key. With any start up the labor $'s spent are out of line with start-up revenues, the catch is that if you work for a more favorable labor/revenue number you may find customers waiting. If that wait gets too long then you've lost valuable customers in this rat race life we all lead. So my advice is; add all the bells and whistles you can but if you make me wait too long you've lost me regaurdless... hope that helps and good luck!!!!

Not to be negative, but why did you created three threads with the exact same topic?

I wish you luck with your business endeavors, and I hope you get good feedback, but please don't do that again.
