I never saw their first fight but I doubt it'll go the same way. And I'm through betting against Chuck Liddell. He's proven me wrong many times before so I have no other option but to pick Chuck for this fight.
I forsee Rampage snacking on one of Chuck's right hands.

For those that never saw the first fight...

I wonder why they didn't give Rampage the 'tune up' fight he wanted. After he beat Marvin Eastman, he said in his post fight interview he wanted another fight or two before he fought Liddell. I definitely think Rampage still has the right stuff, it's just a matter if he can bring it all out when fight night comes.

After watching that link thisisphil posted, I'm still convinced that Chuck will win. Here's why....
It's stupid now to stand up with Chuck. He's just too strong, and too accurate. If Rampage tries to throw those wide bombs, he'll eat punches all night long.
I think the strategy to beating Chuck is forward pressure, and a lot of it. Rampage will have to move forward, quicker then Chuck can move around. Guard his chin, and move forward constantly. I don't think Chuck responds well to pressure like that. Get close, slam him to the ground, pound him, like Couture did in the first fight.

Rampage hasn't seemed the same since the beatings he took from Wand and Shogun...He looked ok against Lindland, but Lindland isn't a guy who most people look great against.
I think that he could have used another fight, but it sounds like it was a case of a lack opponents for Chuck and renegotiating Rampages contract.
But who will the next challenger be? I think Shogun would be good, but he isn't really a name that would sell the volume of mainstream seats. Even if Rashad beats Tito, is it too early for him to fight for a title?

retire? I don't think he'd seriously contemplate retiring. He's still pretty young compared to the likes of Couture or Liddell. So he lost a few matches in a row by k.o.... He was also fighting two top tier guys, so anything can really happen. What Pride should do is give Wanderlei some time off, let him heal up his body, and then put him back into action. If Wanderlei loses to Igor, then that is a huge blow to his career. There are very few fighters in Pride that fight on the schedule that Wanderlei does. I'm pretty sure he feels compelled to fight because of that whole Liddell vs. Silva thing. I think UFC fans see Silva as the Liddell of Pride. That being said, I think that Shogun would definitely sell seats in U.S. The internet following is pretty big for him. He' s got to be top three LHW in the world right now.
