Barerra vs Marquez

Just saw this fight last night on TSN. Amazing. It's been a while since two pros like that went at it.

SPOILERS

But what were the judges watching? I thought Barerra won the fight by 1 point. If the knockdown went in his favour, it was by 2 or 3. Definately not as one sided as those judges had it.

Nonetheless, I hope Barerra comes back to fight again. That guy is a true professional.

I didn't actually watch the fight, but is it true, that Barrera hit Marquez when he was down? From what I heard, there was a knockdown that supposedly the ref didn't count, and then Barrera wound up, while Marquez had his knee or fist on the floor and clocked him. Just wondering.

ANSWER TO SEMI - SPOILER

It's true. Barrera hit him while both fists were on the canvas. Marques had pounded Barrera for the entire 7th round. He was really hurt. Then pretty much out of nowhere, Barrera threw a right cross that landed perfectly. Marques didn't fall down, he more bent over and used his hands to support him. Then Barrera whacked him again. The ref called no knockdown, and took a point away from Barrera.
