Default Boxing Handwraps/How To wrap

Okay, Mabey I threw too much information out to you in the Boxing Routine thread, so lets break it down.

Use this thread with the Boxing Glove thread to figure out which gloves you need and wrap your hands as shown below and you will be ready for my next post on hitting the Heavy bag.

HANDWRAPS: HOW TO GUIDE
Easy to follow instructions and photos.
.

Why do I need handwraps?

Handwraps help protect the bones and tendons in your hands. In addition, they will help support your wrist and thumb. To help prevent injuries, always wrap your hands before working out.

There are several styles of handwraps you can buy.
Mexican style is popular in the gym, they are made with elastic material, and contour to your hand.

For small hands, 120" handwraps are good.
For medium to large hands, you will want 170" or longer.

The link above should help. I use the 180" Mexican wraps, I have a Medium size hand but skinny wrists That is also the method I use to wrap my hands.

Good luck
