Breasts Augmentation
Hello everyone,
My girlfriend finally decided to get a BA. We talked about it at length over the last few weeks and it's my understanding that her current proportions aren't to her liking. From what she told me, it's not about self-esteem, it's about how she feel as a woman, in her body and in her sexuality.
From reading some past threads on this subject, I know that there's quite a few people around here who are against this kind of surgery. Some of these people are decently straightforward, while some others are plainly insulting. To those last few people, I would politely ask to refrain from posting negative, useless comments. This isn't about how we feel, but about how she feel.
Now...
Obviously, some around here had past experiences with Breasts Augmentation procedures, from a few EF Babes or board members, to husband/boyfriend of women who had one. From those people, I'd like some assistance.
Me and my lady did a lot of research and we have most of the information we need to go through this project. However, most of the infos we got are aimed toward normal women. Women who do not go to the gym five times a week and who do not wish to develop above average muscular mass and strength. Because of it, our knowledge base is lacking on a few level: optimal implant placement and incision, stretching and (most of all) post-surgery dieting and training.
If any of you got some extra infos or insights about this, please let me know. If you want to, you can always send me a PM for privacy's sake. There's no need to direct me to other websites however, unless the info is really specific. Believe me, after all the research we did, we know about everything there is to know about breasts!
Thanks for your help.

Hey Cash
well first of all, when you decide what you wanna do, dont let surgeons talk you out of what you want ok? this is important!
I did research, looked at before and afters of different size jumps, different shapes, different placements everything and made my decision that way.
I chose to go entirely under the muscle (because above everything else i didnt want to circular shape at the top) I was warned that my breasts would move once flexing the chest muscle, and it does, but so slightly that it isnt an issue!
The choice between tear drop and round is completely to your own taste, but i was worried about it turning and i also wanted a fuller breast all over, not just at the bottom!
In Australia you dont really have the choice of smooth or saline, which is good because I wouldnt have chosen either
People say that the scars fade really well! It's only been 3 months from mine and they do look great! but I am extremely extremely glad i went under the arm!
The first surgeon I went to tried to talk me into a quick 30 min surgury of over the muscle, a 250cc implant and was a complete arrogant prick!
by the time i saw the fourth one, they finally listened to me, and i got to have to procedure i wanted to.
only one thing i recommend, and thats pay more for the anesthetist
i went the cheap option and got really really sick I was also allergic to the slow release painkillers and felt more sick than i needed to! so watch out for that ok? make sure she tells someone no matter what about how things feel ok? no matter how small or if she thinks she can handle it
also, you're going to have to help her sit up, go to the toilet, shower (you might have to give her a sponge bath) eat (which she wont feel like doing for a while) and of course, try on new clothes
I think its awesome she's doing something many women want to do but are too afraid! She also doesnt care about what the few who winge about not liking it think! much respect to her

Thanks for your answer G-Girl. I showed her your post and since she's been religiously reading your blog for a few months now, I think it meant a lot to her.
The exact details on the procedure itself are still a little hazy right now. She knows what she wants as far as size and looks are concerned, but she'll wait for the surgeon's opinion before deciding what kind of placement and incision she's going to get. We both agree with you however that she's the only who can decide on the final result, not the surgeon.
She's a little uncertain about her training however. Although most women can start working out again after two weeks (four weeks for the chest), it's obvious that she's going to be tight around the chest area for some time. We're wondering if there's any stretching exercises she can do to facilitate her rehabilitation or any cream she can use to soften the skin.
Same thing goes for her dieting. She's eating very cleanly right now and taking some glutamine and protein supplements to help her growth along. Even though I don't expect her to be able to stomach protein shakes for a couple of days after the procedure, I'd like to know if she should keep taking those during the two or three weeks she not going to be able to work out.
Thanks again.

Hehe she sounds just like me. I'll be fine to leg press after 2 weeks :P over the muscle maybe she can start working out after 4, under definately not for 6. I was hardly walking by 2 weeks!
i only just went back to work after two weeks but i shouldnt have, i was still on the heavy painkillers
Tell her to not worry about the training (I'm repeating other peoples advice here) but 6 weeks really isnt that much, and her healing should be priority! She has the rest of her life to train but just this one opportunity to heal properly. And seriously, with muscle memory and determination, it only took me 4 weeks to get back to where i was!
With the diet, people told me to eat EFAs and take vitamins cause you cant eat much, but seriously, dont let her stress about it (I ate like crap! I went from not eating to eating pizza!)
she wont be moving or working out too much, so the amount of protein she gets from food will be more than enough But she will still lose muscle and gain a little fat but you come back fast! and you can watch it so you'll be inspired to work harder =) k?
=) I'm glad i could help! makes me wanna make my blog better! hehe

Just wanted to add a little something, doesn't have anything to do with working out but after the surgery. She's gonna be out of it the day of the surgery, I slept all day. Don't let her do that. As with any surgical procedure, you can't have anything by mouth after midnight. The morning after I had had very little liquids and when I took my painkillers I threw up. Had a follow up at the doctor's that morning and they had to give me an I.V. because I was dehydrated, after that I felt great, well better.
So make sure she takes in liquids.

Definitely go through the armpit or the belly button, do not scar the breasts themselves, under or over the muscle is a persoal preference, though I think under the muscle looks far more natural. Placement is key, do your research on the surgeons and ask for references from former patients.

Yes and no. It's true that Overs, depending on the size used, have more of a fake look, which is something that some women will or will not want. Since women with small amount of breast tissue are usually better served with Unders, and since the look is more natural, many will use that placement type.
The main problem with Unders is that they will move when the pectoral muscle is contracted. What we're wondering is how much they actually move and, honestly, what kind of movement are we talking about? People are talking about 'movements', but what is it exactly? Will the size of the implants influence this?
Thanks everyone.
bcroberg, welcome aboard. Please check your PMs. I have a little question for you.

Here's something new.
My lady keeps an eye on some BA forums for infos and stuff. One woman over there said that her plastic surgeon and holistic practitioner told her to stay away from protein supplements before and after a surgery since it might interfere with normal coagulation. I think its a load of bullock but, hey! I'd like to know nonetheless.
Thanks.

I had mine (silicone, not saline) under the muscle...wouldnt change a thing...they do make funny shapes when you flex naked, but that is something I have NEVER done since discovering it in a mirror a few years back
They look perfectly fine when flexing in a posing suit, no worries!!!

Before anything please apologize my english, Iīm not american. When my wife wanted the BA I was the one doing all the research, she was so excited that she wanted to get under the knife right away.
I got into a lot of forums and read a lot of news and plastic surgeons profiles. I can tell you the things that helped us a lot, the first thing is to look for pictures of women with the kind of breast you want, print them and show them to the surgeons, let him know what you like about the picture it can be the size, shape, cleavage, projection, etc.
Try to identify if the surgeon wants to please your wife with the results or if he wants to do things his way, I mean they can guide your decision but donīt let them choose for you. After all the one carrying the implants would be your girlfriend and she must be 100% sure she is getting what she wants. I can tell you that itīs really important to look at before and after pictures of breast augmentation and to see the kind of implants and placement. My wife had Mentor 550 cc silicon implants, high projection, under the muscle. She tryed on different sizes placed with a bra and I took pictures so she could check them out later as many times as she wanted. The surgery is more painful if the placement is under the muscle, and the larger the implant the longer the recovery.
My wife trains a lot, six to seven times a week, she runs a lot and rides her bike, and even though she has big implants, since they are placed under the muscle they donīt bounce that much and they move just a little when she flexes the muscle, not a big deal. When placed over the muscle will bounce everywhere and the might drop out of shape.
The incision is kinda up to the surgeon, they master one technique better than other. Be sure to choose the incision they do better and you will get better results.
Well I guess you have some homework to do man, help her as much as you can, and support her because they tend to feel sad during the recovery. Ice is great for pain. I made a lot of zip lock bags filled with alcohol gel mixed with water (1/2 and 1/2) and kept them in the fridge for use when needed.
Let me know if thereīs something else you need, Iīm not a surgeon or doctor but I read a lot and ask a lot. Good luck!!

i'm not trying to insult anyone who has had it done...i've thought of it...
but I dont think I"d ever do it...getting implants won't make me feel like more of a woman or anything...
it really IS about self-esteem, sorry, but it is...you have to admit that.
boobs don't make a woman a woman....it's her genetic chromosomes LOL
people just need to be comfortable in their own bodies...working out to look good is one thing, but people also do it for their own good health...breast implants or augmentations don't improve the health, it's only about the outside appearance.... and please don't say it's about the mental health...you don't need boobs to live, but you do need to have good health. As someone who worries about getting breast cancer, the last thing I'm going to do is try to make them bigger or do anything "unnatural" to them

Dear Eva:
Iīm sure we all understand your point and you are right, itīs all about self esteem and what you see when you look at a mirror, and I guess thatīs the reason we all workout, keep our selves from wolfing down two pints of cherry garcía every night, we all want to look the best we can. But with all respect, getting attention from the people that surround us is what this is all about, some of us will get surgery, some will get nude, and so on. As Nietzsche said: you have your way, I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does no exist. Sorry to bother you but Cash didnīt ask for our judgment, just for our help with a decision they made, and thatīs what this forum is about.

As long as a woman does it for herself, I don't care about her motivations. It's a personal decision just like anything that deals with the way you look; exercise, dentistry, hair and makeup. Breast enhancement seems to be the only thing that elicits disdain for some reason, and that reason is usually jealousy.
