Here's a government website I found that has info on the bird flu:http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/...alth_1181.html and http://www.cdc.gov/flu/avian/index.htm It does seem that he has similar symptoms to the flu. In the FAQ link it says the drug Oseltamivir (brand name-Tamiflu) is used for avian treatment, but it doesn't seem like it's available for the public. I hope this helps and wish your father good health.

Get your father to a properly qualified medical practitioner for diagnosis and treatment. If he is in that much trouble, do it quickly.

hello Bony i want to give some information about flu infection which information may help in your father.Tamiflu is a medicine to treat flu infection caused by influenza virus. It belongs to a group of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. These medications attack the influenza virus and prevent it from spreading inside your body. To know more about tamiflu see http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3353-s-TAMIFLU.aspx

He must have the product call, Immunocal. It has been demonstrated to enhance both healthy and deficient immune systems, and is validated as an effective nutritional supplement by the medical community. It is the only non-prescription dietary supplement to appear in the year 2000 Physician's Desk Reference (PDR) for Prescription Drugs, although it is available without prescription!

If its prescribe by a doctor, medline, medicare refund it. It's really the best against all the drugs. Don't use drugs if you can.

Hold up guys.

The recommendations above from cema and Warm_marble are no doubt well-intentioned. However, it really is irresponsible to be be recommending medications for a person without actually knowing what is wrong with the person in question. The signs and symptoms that are listed may be consistant with the influenza; but it would take a proper assessment of the patient, by someone who knows what they are doing - ie a doctor - to accurately diagnose what is wrong with them. It would be this diagnosis and an assessment of any comorbidities that would then dictate what the most appropriate treatment would be.

Medications should only be recommended or prescribed by a properly qualified health professional - ie a doctor - who has the training and knowledge base to be able to give an informed opinion as to what medication/treatment is appropriate, based on a proper diagnosis of the presenting complaint.

I'm aware that people are only trying to help, but the bottom line is this: if someone is sick, and you are concerned about them, don't trawl the internet looking for treatments - get them to a properly qualified healthcare professional for assessment and treatment. Stuffing around with ill-informed advice off the internet could: at-best, delay recovery; at worst, kill someone.

you are right penguiny,
I know its harder to see a doctor when your ill, long waiting and everything else coming with it. The right way is to see someone. Then do what is appropriate
And you will get a proper diagnosis.

Button line of this when you are ill and visit hopital or clinic. You could see sexy nurse.
seriously, older we get, weaker our immune is to combat and destroy these non-welcome parasite. And flu, cold and other year round parasite are getting stronger. We must eat well and choose the right supplement, there is no choice.

I say Fuck my ego when it say like Homer Simpson, mmmm beer, mmm chocolat, mmmm sugar, mmm pepsi, cola, and the fast food. Our brain know better what we need to stay healthy. He is the boss, we all know and it's a fact.
My toungue hate mushroom, but my body need it, and so on.(at least once a year )

I work in a hospital, (NEVER been sick)I get crazy when adults get their therapy of hynalo(lungs) and there going outside (it's winter here in Montreal) with their pouch of amino acid liquid hanguing over there head and they smoke!!!! Are you retarded!!!

And I found good wisdom from you Penguiny.
And for you bony, do what you have to do, i know you may be a little scare and you use your first post to hopefully get answer about your father who is suffering , You feel concern. We too, we ALL have a dad(an other fact, well proof,) but love and strenght will guide you to the right path.
take it easy, and get him back stronger.
