Naive question...Is there a trail? I thought most people drive up. I'm going there in August but driving up.

Well that is right in my back yard!!!! Never climbed it though. There is a great road that goes right up. Or I think that there is a train. Very beautiful area. I am sure someone here can give you some info and I will look into for you also.

Hey- you can come visit!!!!

I used to live in Woodland Park and could see Pike's Peak from my livingroom window. You are both right. There is a train, a road and different levels of trekking to get to the top. I am planning on doing it the fun way. Did you know there is a live cam to always look at Pike's Peak.http://www.pikespeakcam.com/
