I always read about the fact that there are good fats and carbs and what now, But i never have read lists of good carbs and fats of which are good for you. can someone give me an idea of which ones are best to consume and how much they should be consumed daily(and when)?

Just stay away from fats that are saturated or trans (butter, margarin, etc) and stay away from simple carbs mainly sugar. Excess is always bad too, just because your eating good fats and carbs dosnt mean go crazy and binge on them.

Good fats = omega 3 and omega 6 fats i believe. If you are concerned, include fish oil (or flax) and natural peanut butter in your diet. If youd like you can also include cottage cheese.

good fats- waht they say above
good carbs - lower on the GI scale, so they absorb slower. high GI carbs get absorbed fast and if you dont burn them off right away, then they get turned into fat. go for WHOLE grain foods. the "white" carbs like white bread, white rice, etc, are stripped of a lot of the original coverings that have nutritious value. you don't really have to stay AWAY, jsut try to limit them, but if you are comfortable with like brown rice, then definitely eat it more often than white rice.
