Default Fruit juices??

I always thought fruit juices (100% juices - no sugar added) were healthy and good to drink (and a good alternative to soda). BUt I see they are also high in sugars. So what is the lowdown on fruit juices like orange, apple or cranberry juices?

Fruit juices are like eating the fruit, w/o the benefit of the fiber and nutrients present in the actual food. Higher insulin response, which is generally bad for most people, and for everyone trying to lose weight. A very easy sources of calories. The water used to reconstitute the fruit juice concentrate does not have to undergo the same procedures as tap water, so it may not be healthy - I'd prefer to buy not-from-concentrate.

A good alternative to soda is tea, or water. Fruit juice would simply be replacing calories with calories.
