ESPN reportedly fires analyst Reynolds
FOXSports.com
Posted: 1 hour ago
ESPN has fired popular baseball analyst Harold Reynolds, according to a report in the New York Post.
The reason for the move is not known.
ESPN declined to comment on the matter when contacted by The Post and Reynolds did not return phone calls seeking comment.
The 45-year-old Reynolds had been a fixture for 11 years on Baseball Tonight.
The nightly program is also without Hall of Fame baseball writer Peter Gammons, who is recovering from a brain aneurysm he suffered late last month.
Reynolds was twice an All-Star second baseman, and played 10 of his 12 big-league seasons with the Seattle Mariners.
I think this is a shame. Reynolds and Gammons were the reasons to watch Baseball Tonight and now that they are both gone, I'm done with that show. Can't stand Kruk and Tino Martinez is stiffer than me after reading the Sophia Innsbrouck thread. ESPN made a big mistake ...

Stupid move on ESPN's part... he will just end up on fox sports or something anyway, I will miss seeing him at Pauli's at the college world series every year, he was known as the "mayor" of Omaha while he was in town. as far as baseball tonight goes, Caveman Kruk, Tino the Weeno and Oral and Or-testes cant carry the show. Fock the NY post too.

They were reporting this on Dallas' sports radio station 1310 "The Ticket" as well. They were stating that they had unconfirmed reports that he was fired for sexual harassment. There were multiple emails from sources inside Bristol and they all mentioned this charge. They went on to say that H.R. had been reprimanded several times over the years for this very thing. Apparently, a production assistant wasn't interested in what he was offering and went to management. Again, these were unconfirmed reports, but that's what's out there. To bad. I enjoyed watching H.R. I'll bet he'll be on Fox before you know it.

If that is the case, then the firing is understandable. I thought Reynolds was smarter than to go fishing in the company lake .... I guess no more CWS and LLWS ...

Well, he could have been harassing the little leaguers for all we know.

What happened to HR is darn shame. I agree with most of you. He did make Baseball Tonight more interesting to watch. But, if the reports are true, then you can't fault ESPN for letting him go. Now that he's gone, the show will lose some it's flavor. No disrespect to the other analysts, but they're chopped liver comapred to Reynolds

Yes, same here! But if it's true what he did, then he deserves to be fired. However, he says he was only hugging someone. Or at least, that's what I heard.

No. Since ABC & ESPN are both owned by the same parent company (Disney), I doubt it.
