oh and the ball is dead, so you cant just stand in one spot and hit it, cause it wont really come back to you, so you have to run alot

I've played racquetball, but not squash. I believe it might be similar, but I remember a squash court having markings on a wall, so I guess ball placement might be more important. Workout cardio wise, both are probably just as tough or rough, especially if you have a good opponent.

I found a site that describes it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squash_(sport) I guess I'll have to give it a try

well Squash is played on the same court as racketball, basically the same rules but the biggest difference is the bounce on a squash ball...

for example:

when you chuck a racketball against the ground as hard as you can itll bounce maybe 10 feet, then 8, then 5, then 3, then 1.

but when you do that to a squash ball it goes: 5 feet, 1 foot.

so even if you hit it really hard it wont just bounce over and over again.

if the other player is really mean hell hit it really soft and then you have to sprint over to the front, AND IF YOU'RE MEAN THEN ULL DO THE SAME THING, and then what ensues is crazy rallying from like 5 feet from the wall.

and then sometimes you have to dive, like i just did tonight and get a few burns.

GO TRY IT!

Dumb question, are the racquets different between racquetball and squash? Just wondering if I need to buy new racquets or could I use my old racquetball racquets. First time I heard about the ball, I probably give it a try.

in a sense the sports look the same from what i know . i believe a squash racquet is slightly longer and the head is slightly smaller ...

i also think the squash ball is a bit slower ..but i have never played racquetball so i cant be certain buddy
