Question Advice

Hi,

Sorry for this being in the wrong section but I just can't find one.

What is the best way to do sit-ups and home? exhaling going down and inhaling going up or vice-versa? fit fastened or not? At what frequency...

It's been a while since I've done this so I could understand we I cannot do that much but maybe I'm doing it wrong...

Thanks in avance

When you get to the top of the Sit-Up, you should exhale (breathe out). While you are lowering yourself, you should inhale (breathe in).

I don't understand what you mean by "fit fastened." What does this mean?

You should use a controlled motion throughout the movement. This means you shouldn't do them very fast at a rigorous pace. Instead, you should concentrate on flexing your abdominals to bring your torso to the top of the movement. While at the top, flex your abdominals as hard as you can for one second. Upon lowering yourself, lower yourself slowly in a controlled manner. Don't just let yourself drop to the floor.

On each repetition, concentrate on flexing the abdominal muscles and nothing else.

Thanks for the advice :S I was doing it the other way around. "fit fastened" should have been "feet fastened". Should my feet be underneath a piece of furniture or have somebody hold my feet is what I mean
