Thank you Ric
I guess sport entertainment isn't quite the sport that some would talk about, but despite the controversy, beyond the 'fakeness', passed the drugs and steroids controversy, Sunday night at Wrestlemania, Ric Flair retired after 36 years in the ring. Thank you for all the memories, Ric.

I haven't followed the WWF for a while. Didn't he retire before? Also, did he retire as a good guy or a bad guy?
There is a saying... Old wrestlers never retire; they just make guest appearances at future WrestleManias.

i know wrestling seems so fake to a lot people who normally dont watch it, maybe things started out that way, way back then. the new generation of wrestlers are starting to mame each other, and some sustane serious carrer threatening injuries as a result of it. i know a lot of people say the famed "chair shots" are fake and such, but just imagine no matter what, the chair shot is still gonna hurt like hell!! look at some of the damage to the chairs afterwards.
these wrestlers are sustaining torn pecs, broken necks, cracked vertabrae, torn quads needing surgical repairs! you non believers explain that!
regardless it still is a sport that not just anybody can do. you have to be an athlete to compete.

true dat!!! its like choregraphed dancing, its as real as that , injuries are real, the landings are real. Remember when hulk chocked out that punk ass richard belsner while on his talk show promoting the first wrestlemania, or when vader bitch slapped the interviewer who kept asking if it were fake. I admit i still watch every now and again, typically i download the episodes and skim through the 2 hour shows in about 20 min, but i still follow whats going on, its entertaining. Flairs story is particular amazing in that he survived a plane crash, broke his back and was never supposed to even walk right again, let alone wrestle back in the late 70's.

i can relate to flair in that aspect........i too suffered severe spinal injuries were the doc said my lifting days are over, but i proved him and everybody else wrong who agreed with the prognosis. i think it boils down to the amount of heart and intestinal fortitude that a person posseses that makes the determining factor wether a person recovers or not.
as far as my watching it i pause it for about 15 minutes and come back to watch it later and skip through the commercials and by the time it reachs the end ive caught up with live tv. this way i dont have 2 watch these stupid idiotic moron commercials!

theres no commercials in the downloads, release groups cut them out, i mostly fast forward through dull spots in the matches and boring promos about playboy or whatever the whore chicks who cant wrestle are promoting.
