A company I used to work for once had a flag football tournament. It was 5 on 5 and the teams were from the different departments. Our IT department only had 2 people interested, so me and the other guy just recruited a few dudes who weren't completely out of shape and we won the coveted trophy. That trophy was a nerf football cut in half and attached to a wooden board with the company logo sticker on it. Cheesier than cheesey poofs but it was a fun day at work. Our IT team name was the
"Pocket Pro-TECH-tors" and someone actually printed us t-shirts.
Or basic strategy was I heaved the ball deep and that other guy ran under it for our TDs. If we happened to need short yardage for a 1st down or in the red zone, we switched and he played QB and I would provide a wide-body target.

The other 3 guys blocked or ran decoy routes, but I think they combined for 2 or 3 total catches in the 3 games we played.
On defense, our fast guy covered the other teams' best players, while I sort of flattened whomever tried to block me. It was fun pushing around some of the managers who were semi-buttheads. I even had a few people from other departments ask me to knock around their bosses. LOL
The other 3 guys basically were just bodies on the field to clog things up.
