Default Small MCL tear

Hey guys, I recently had a small tear occur in my MCL while playing soccer. This injury occured about a month ago, and my doctor recommended that I do some light knee exercises to begin to strengthen the ligament again. I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions on what types of exercise would be best and for what amount of time. Thanks for your help.

It depends on what is slight. You should ask your doc to send you to therapy for a few.

One that is always good is a straight leg raise. Lie on your back and raise you leg about 3 or 4 inches up and hold it. Once you can do this you and add some weight. It strengthens the muscles that stabalize your knee. I always had to do this when I had my knee worked on.
