Default Possible busted vein

about two years ago when i was a senior in high school i hurt my arm pretty bad. i wasn't able to lift for about 3 months and i had to sit there and watch all of my hard earned gains slowly waste away. i never went to the doctor and just cold turkey'd the injury untill it stoped hurting and felt alright. i remember when i first injured it, i couldnt really twist my arm and it hurt to open door knobs, etc. after i waited it out i was able to workout for a few months and i had no problems. then i stopped lifting for about a year because i went to a military school and freshmen aren't allowed to use the weight room there. i started lifting again seriously in december 2005 (i hadn't lifted seriously since summer 2004). I went into my freshman year of college at 6'0 200 lbs and when i started lifting again in december i was 6'0 175 lbs. as of today i am 6'0 215 lbs. i train pretty hard but recently this old injury has resurfaced. i don't really feel pain in the injured arm...it just feels akward. the injury is on my left bicep and the veins on my left bicep are very noticably different than the veins on my right bicep. a vein on my left bicep is in a zig zag shape and i cant find the full length of the vein, it looks like it snapped and just settled in this zig zag shape. have any of you guys heard of this before?? any tips or sugestions would be greatly apreciated.

this sounds like something else not haveing anything to do with your veins. Veins are not always straight they do make turns and look different on each arm. I wouldnt blame this on the veins. you should see a doctor about it.

sounds like a tendon ruptured and you didnt go to the doc and it healed on its own and you re-aggrivated it. have it checked out ASAP and let us know.

its prolly just genetics. if you busted a vien, you would see a large bruise from where the blood is leaking out.

If he cant figure it out, he will send you on to an orthopaedist. It is likely you suffered a partial biceps tear that healed and scarred down a bit....sounds like you are straining or stretching out that scar tissue (adhesions) , which isnt always a bad thing if you get your full range of motion back.
The veins looking different? No biggie. Everyone has different patterns of vascularization...the veins on my right arm look totally different than the ones on the left...the zig-zag pattern doesnt mean anything significant.
