It still is swollen and sore i try to ice it as much as possible. If anyone knows and small exercises or streches i can do to help this repair i would be grateful

buddy ...You definately may get some good advice here but if i thought i tore something i'd be off to the physio or doctor. Its sounds pretty serious considering you are still in pain 3 weeks later. Get some professional help dawg that would be the best thing you could do

stephenlavin is right. See a doctor. It is my thought that if you can stand up straight, that the hip flexor is not torn. Most likely, you have simply over worked it in your enthusiasm to become a Hunk'a'hunka Burnin' Love. Back off and give yourself time to recover and remember not to pick up where you left off or you will have the same result. Get some expert advice on your work out routine. You may be working things out unevenly and building up one side of your leg/hip too rapidly versus the other. Ice it. Do extra stretching prior to and also after your work outs. "Stretching" by Bob Anderson will help you do that. Also, consider that you may have pinched a nerve in your lower back, and that a trip to a chiropractor may be all you need.

ok back from phyiso who saz it does not look like a muscle tear so he sent me to doctor because it lookd like a herina. the doctor saz doesnt look like herina. both can see the lump just between hip and groin. i can tell this will cost me a fortune going back and forth between the 2 of them. im iceing it every day still quite sore except when lying down.

from my own research ithink its on the piriformis muscle or something directly below it. there is a lager bulge there compaired with the opposite hip
any one have any experence with this same injury?

should i go back doing light training ?
askd the doctor this and he said might as well cos it is sore either way(really felt like it was money well spent after he said that)
