Default Burning sensation in elbow

I think I might have tendinitus in my left elbow. It has been hurting for the past 5 days. I seem to be ok at the gym, but then afterwards, itll start hurting, so I wear a sleeve to keep it warm and it helps, but the pain doesnt really go away. Its not severe but its uncomfortable. Anyone might happen to know what this is? Should I ice it or put heating pads?

Is it the joint or around the elbow?
Years ago I was having a pain in my elbow area, it was on the outside of the upper forearm right below the elbow joint. I was told that is where "tennis elbow" occurs because it obsorbs the most impact in tennis. I bought this weird strap contrapton at the sproting goods store that has this air pillow on it, and believe me at first I was like what the hell is that gonna do. I wore it when I lifted and after a couple of weeks it was gone and never bothered me again. I guess the vibrations that go through the bone from the impact are cushioned by the pillow thingy.
