Default Training after stomach-area surgery?

I just had some surgery done to fix a problem with my mezzentary, which means have to take it easy for a while - no strenuous exercise for 2-3 weeks, and no lifting of over 10lbs for at least 6 weeks.

Ouch!

Should I focus on walking and other low-impact exercises? Is there any ramp-up I should plan for once the weight restriction is over (obviously start slowly again, but more in terms of specific exercises)?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

check out my post i made on coldfx's question on "weight belt" under injuries and recovery. too long to repost it here in this thread. i think you will find it usefull in rehabillitating your abdominal injury. start with those strengthening exercises first way before you attempt to work any other part of your abdomen since its been cut open. this im speaking from experience.
