The phrase "take a break" isn't supposed to be taken literally! Seriously, hope the injuries are less severe than they seem right now, and that you make a rapid recovery. Also hope the drunk driver is dealt with appropriately.
Glad you're alright(-ish)!

yea the man was taken into custody today i was told by the arresting officer. took them a bit 2 find the guy. what was so messed up about the sit was he drove off! luckily i had enough time to jump and avoid some of the vehicle striking mainly the windshield and pillar. im very sore but alive. bruising has gotten worse past few days. aside from CT scans and all the other x-rays im prob a little radioactive at the moment. just glowing in all the wrong manner!.lol yea my spirits are still high. i was up and walking same day to keep from any possible clots forming and that has helped my recovery a little. i get stiff and walk it off. the knee bugs me more then the ribs at times. thanks for all the well wishes guys. really appreciate it.

WOW!!! That sucks but it's awesome that you were not hurt even worse. I'm sure you'll kick butt during any rehab you might need. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Good luck for a speedy recovery! Damaged/broken collar bones can be real long-term nightmares for lifting if you don't let them recover fully, take your time with it.
I hope the drunk driver was caught and suitably punished.
To me, drunk drivers should get exactly the same punishment as if they were carrying a gun, fired it off drunk and hit someone.

Sorry to hear about this Stang. The most important thing is that you survived without any crippling injuries, but mainly survived. Take the time to heal and I hope it goes quickly for you! Take it easy and get well soon.

Jesus Christ man!!!! That is insane!!!!
Glad you are still around. People riding bikes and jogging on the street are insane man. Too many idiots not paying attention or just not knowing how to operate a vehicle period. Everyone should have to take a racing course to get a license in my opinion, force them to drive on the offensive and pay attention to every single thing around you, but instead you can text, dance, read, drink, basically whatever you want but drive the car.
You going to add "Treadmill" to your gym equipment immediately i assume

only warning i had was engine noise and headlights. enough time 2 turn and dive before getting struck.
not much for therapy yet other then trying to keep from tightening up to much by plenty of cardio walking at track field away from traffic........lol
shoulda seen the look on the guys face when i showed up for his bail bond hearing. his face was priceless the fear of a 6'3"1/2" 280+ lb man staring at you like you wanted to rip him apart is probably what he thought. i was hurting but the adrenaline rush of wanting to dismember this pukeface with a little personal justice made the pain go away temporary

i can pretty much tell physical therapy is going to be primarily my right hip and knee. ribs will and are healing nice. clavical was determined hairline crack by radiologist. do too my conditioning mainly is why i didnt suffer the same injuries as a normal bodied person. was told it was a plus situation for me being such a big framed man and the musculature absorbed majority of the blow and allowed me to get by with just fractures instead of total breaks. in this situation it has paid dividends being in the conditioning i am or should say was. and yes the knee therapy will start next week. im actually doing home therapy with what equipment i have in advance with the go ahead of my doc. ive started e-stem therapy, had the knee drained, plenty of ice. hip is different. mainly muscle deep tissue bruising with no swelling. recovery should be swift. ribs will heal up quick and clavical also. the knee i know is going to be troublsome! squats and other leg excercises will suffer. when i get the go ahead light higher rep till things return to normal. most people dont mind a little rest but ive always been the type to keep moving doing something. totally sucks now. oh and the food shortage adjustments! sucks cutting back when used to consuming larger meals. going heavy on veg untill can get my activity level back to match my appetite.....lol cut my beef steaks out in place for venison and buffalo in those areas to cut fatty marbling out of diet.

update on progress. my hip is bugging me more with the herniation of a strap of hip muscle. feels like a sack of marbes under the skin. quite painfull when resting. get to moving around and it subsides. iceing things still. cant take much e-stem in the hip region yet from the herniation and tear. knee swelling has subsided majorly compared to before. ribs feel normal at this point as well as the clavical. mainly suffering soft tissue damage.
and thanks IA
