Notice any improvement?
I took this first pic in december and the second pic early may. I feel like I should have made more progress. I'm lifting more weight but the scale/bf still reads the same. Anyone notice a difference?
I'll be posting after pics when I feel like I lowered by bf percent enough. I've been eating lots of brown rice oatmeal veggies and fruit these days and I can see where my diet was lacking before. The flavored rice had to go.
DECEMBER - 07
MAY - 08
critique it anyway u want idc how cruel u are, tell me what u think i need to work on whats good etc thank you EF

You need to choose whether you wanna get bigger or smaller.
If you wanna get bigger, eat up and keep up the good work.
If you wanna get smaller, ie lose bodyfat (where?), then train accordingly.
The biggest problem people have when trying to 'grow' is eating what's NEEDED, and if the scale says you aint put on a lb in 5 months, you sure ain;t eaten enough to do so. Now, putting on muscle weight without phat weight needs fine tuning, but it still requires you to stuff your face enough to get BIGGER.
We are our worse enemy. Till your abs completely disappear, you don;t have to worry about much. Seeing your picture, you are obviously very young, if you overdo the feeding a little, you'll loose it in a matter of weeks, so STUFF IT
Finally, don't expect to put on lbs of muscle while loosing lbs of phat at the same time, without getting in touch with forbb. It's not natural, it doesn't happen past a certain level of training (read 6 months beginners - or fuckin careful professionals).
Good luck, and keep up the good work.

i will parrot joebar. it appears your not certain exactly what your trying for, lower body fat or more muscle. if your trying to get bigger yes eat eat EAT! good healthy foods that is. if fat gain is weighing heavily on your mind then theres only a few things you can do about that. HIIT cardio first thing in the morning before eating or supps. burn off the glycogen storages and into the fat zone in the mornings. nothing like a good morning run to wake yourself up with anyways. sprint jog, sprint jog, mix it up. keep the protein and carbs up high as needed during the day and if you dont work out in the evening keep the carbs to an minimum before bedtime.

in that case, keep the protein coming on fairly high , cut carbs were can. dont cut on recovery after workout you need those carbs! everywere else start cutting them down. up the cardio. important! morning run! can even run in the evening also. i do both when cutting. can run an ECA or chromium picolinate and lipo-6 from bodybuilding.com. ive run both before with great results.
workouts gotta be hard as in bulking.

Thanks alot guys. I'm just curious how is my shape so far? I have come along way, but I would like to know from you guys at EF what areas you think I lack in based on that picture. I just started doing pullups/chinups and I can finally do them without assistance machine, haven't been doing them very long but since my post about chin ups/pull ups I've noticed improvement.

how long have you been working out? a year or more? well i will say your progress is looking pretty good. your lacking in lats, traps. your arms are coming along quite nicely for the amount of time i believe you have in the gym.
this timeframe of your life is the most important as far as natural test levels go. so dont stay to long in your quest for your six-pack. take advantage of your high test levels and eat good and if need use a quality protein supp such as syntha-6. i like it because it has a variety of fast to slow digesting proteins as opposed to just whey. nothing wrong with just whey but why spend money on something thats gonna digest so fast when you can benefit from a fast to slower steady stream of proteins and aminos over a period of at least 6 hours?

I saw your post on PC's thread and actually just looked up syntha-6 haha.
I've been serious about bodybuilding maybe 1 year. When I say serious I mean not missing days, giving 110%, putting in the HARD work.
I've been interested in bb, fitness, etc for much longer maybe 2-3 years, but I just went maybe 3 times a week to the gym and if I missed a day I didn't sweat it... now I will have a cow if i miss a day at the gym.
I've cleaned my diet up a lot in the last month. I realized the flavored rice had to go.. Yeah it was rice, but horrible rice. Now I'm eating only brown rice, taking in carbs in the morning, eating lots more oatmeal unflavored... no dinosaur eggs or star shapes sugar cubes in it anymore :/ haha!. Basically I'm applying the knowledge I have . I mean.. its one thing to have the knowledge, its another thing to use it.. and before I knew what had to be done I just wasn't doing it
I am looking into syntha-6 right now I'll let you know if I buy it and if I like it. Whats the recommended flavor stang? and does it only come in 2.91lb jars? How many times a day do you recommend to take it? once, after workout? I was thinking about getting a 10lb bag of ON 100% Whey, take 1 serving of that first thing in the morning and a jar of syntha-6 take that after workout.. or vice versa. what do you think

i like the chocolate, strawberry, and bananna flavors. i will admit it dosent taste as good as muscle milk, but it dosent need to be choked down. since its fairly low in carbs o shoot one down before bedtime and start my morning with one after the runs over to hold off before breakfast. i still kinda cheat with waxymaize carb drink also. decent corn based product.
