This is me on vacation last week (Aug 23).

Eek, that doesn't look like much fun to deal with on a vacation!

haha ...
It wasn't a pothole. The exhaust pipe simply wore out over time and just happened to pick our arrival at a Baltimore B&B to break off right at the catalytic converter. This picture was from Sunday... it happened Friday when we arrived and it was raining. So there I was laying on the ground soaking wet trying to disconnect the thing. It was not exactly a relaxing way to start the weekend.

Excuse me Wil, but if a buddy wished you a good weekend with the missus and advised you to "Lay some pipe" That's not what they meant......

Yeah, we sounded like a motorcycle gang driving home.
The good news was that our local garage was able to weld it back together without having to replace anything.

Are you sure you didn't drive through East St. Louis or accidentally drive off a closed road in the middle of a desert? Did you get to swim with Christie Brinkley? Oh wait, that was another Vacation...
That sucks, man. Sometimes I really hate cars - they always break down when you need them most.

Damn, when I first started scrolling down to look at the picture, I thought it was a snake you were holding...
But definitely sucks having car problems... I got stuck in a town called Buttonwillow one time when I was driving back down from San Francisco and had to replace a timing belt in the parking lot of the motel I was staying at.
I know your pain.
