do you beleive in karma?
I feel like I've got a boatload of bad karma coming my way for things that happened 2-3 years ago. .
I want to know your take on this. . . .
Anyway to makeup for the bad you've done, I've been trying for over a year and once I think things are going good something bad happens and the first thing I say is "Omg, why did I do. . .that last year"

i believe in karma...i believe there is no "eye for an eye" sorta thing..its not like u do 1 bad thing u will get 1 bad thing to u..i believe that karma is a way of life...the more good u do, the more good will come to u, the more bad u do, the more bad will come ur way...if u do 85% good n 15 % bad, i think ur ok...i say if u feel uve done bad n wanna change, just do sum good...learn ur mistake, take the consequences n move on doin good

I don't believe in karma in the traditional sense, my take on it is that if you live by the rule "Treat everyone as you would like to be treated" then you make your own version of karma. If you get a reputation as fair and trustworthy then people will reciprocate and you will often get treated more fairly than others with a poorer reputation.
Conversely, if you live like an idiot, don't expect to be treated any differently by others.

You should make a list of all the bad stuff you ever did. Then go out and remedy each of those items. Once you complete one, cross it off. Continue this until your list is empty.

Hmmm... that Saudi camel herder who I scared witless in 1990 by jumping out of my camo'ed shell-scrape as he rode past might be a bit hard to find but the rest are probably achievable if I put the effort in

Hi my name is Earl, lol!!
Karma......nah, I am more of the same following as ckn. We create our own destiny. If you treat people like crapp, you'll in turn be treated like crapp too.
If you keep repeating the same stupid stuff over and over.....then the same stupid stuff will keep happening.....I don't beleive or even listen to people who will whine "why does this always (or keep) happening to ME?!"
Same as if you always do smart and wonderful things....well, smart and wonderful things will happen.....Oh I could easily turn this into a rant with all the stoopid things people say, asif they have no choice whatsoever in thier own destiny or what sort of people they choose to surround themselves with....but I won't go there

its not that im a bad person. i just made a lot of relationship/girl misstakes
and then when everything seems good. . it goes down the drain.
i know there r some people who heavily beleive in karma and i was hoping for some insight.
see.. alot of the girls i been w had boyfriends, this is when i was 16, 17. . ill be 20 in march .. so in 3 years ive matured and realized its not cool to do that, but i feel it comin back to me 10fold. i really have learned from my mistakees, but im still paying hell
its basically like exactly wut i did to them. . is comin to me and last week i made a breakthrough like i honestly did something that i definitley think should have whipped a little bit of this bad karma away, but then yesterday i found out some things that made me think ''your fault for what u did"
i mean these things have gotten me emotionally screwed up dude and all i can think is "noone cares, how do u think those guys felt. . . deal w it."

i have a fortune from a fortune cookie taped to my moniter. it reads: "Enhance your karma by being kind to everyone you encounter."
not sure if karma is real or not, but i've found the more helpful i am to people, the more helpful they are to me

If you're good, good things will generally follow.
Of course, there's not really an inverse relationship - bad things don't always seem to follow bad people.

karma no, the universe is not in sync, no eye for eye as already stated, no praying to your fictional character of choice will help.
Its your mind fucking with you because you are in a bad spot right now. You are sub-conciously trying to make excuses for whatever it is that is happening instead of taking control of the situation and creating a better situation for yourself.

I read this somewhere recently.....
The only person you should ever try and get even with is someone who did you a kindness.
Slap me if that is a cliche' to you, but I had never heard it before. Just do the best you can A-Train, I wouldn't worry too much about hitting on girls with boyfriends if your interest in the girls was for real. Heck...I wouldn't dog a girl with a boyfriend but I danged sure would let her know I was interested...wouldn't have had half the dates if I had restricted my interest to "single" girls only. Are all the good girls taken, or do they just SEEM to be taken? I question you'll never know the answer to if you don't ask occasionally.
I too have been on both sides of that deal, came to understand that...well...that's just the way it goes...things will swing your way again.

I do believe in Karma, but not in the sense that there is some law of the universe that is out of your control. It is more like what has been said above. If you engage in bad acts, you are putting yourself in bad situations, and generally that will eventually come to bite you in the ass. The beautiful thing of life is that every day we have an opportunity to make the right choices in what we are to do. Start treating others the way you would want them to treat you and your future is good.

I don't believe in karma, and I would really appreciate any explanation, where karma should come from. Science - okay - no go. God? What do you believe... why should god do so...
No - I'm sure bad things happen, people do stupid or bad things, we ourselves do stupid things. The only thing we can do is reflect: Is/Was that MY mistake - what did I do wrong, what could I have done better...
Thats what I think.

Karma is the concept of "action" or "deed" in Indian religions understood as that which causes the entire cycle of cause and effect (i.e., the cycle called saṃsāra) originating in ancient India and treated in Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies.
Karma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
i guess thats where it comes from, the far east religions...

I surely know what karma means, and where it comes from. What i mean is: why do you/we/some/many believe in karma? There's no scientific explanation. Christian beliefs don't fit together with karma. So if you're not hindu or buddhist, why concerning about?
I am not a purely scientific thinking guy - i believe in a cause for the existence of everything. But I will never believe, that there's a god - or a masterplan - that causes everything what happens to us.
Don't we sometimes only try to put ourselves out of responsibility???
