I need help with this girl I like.....
I have been talking and hanging out with this girl I like for the past month now. I recently told her that I liked her and when I did. She told me that it was really sweet and that she was very flattered. She also has told me that she hasn't gotten to know me well enough to give me a straight forward answer. She is a really sweet girl and we have such great chemistry together. When we hang out there is never a momment of silence and we always have each other laughing or we would always be talking about something.
I was thinking maybe she just said that in a polite way to turn me down? She is very into her religion being a Christian. But that doesn't bother me. Maybe that is why she is so nice?
What should I do? Should I keep trying to persue it or just stop and be a friend? We are both 19

Yep sounds like it. Teenage dating is kind of like portfolio management, you want to be diversified, but take chances when the opportunity presents itself.
Learn guitar, christian chicks eat that sh*t up!
Things have a way funny way of working out.
Good luck

i could give you my view of why she's damaged goods based on her love for religion, but ill just give general advice to keep it nice.
She probably is just being nice to you, if she didn't say yes, then it means no from my experience. She likes hanging with you because you are friends or have similar interest. Just because she's a religion freak though doesn't mean she wont need the physical attraction as well, perhaps she just isn't into your look.
I would keep it friendly, who knows, maybe one of her hot friends will be into you

I'll give my 2 cents. Just remember that I am "damaged goods" and have been married for almost 15 years to someone else who is "damaged goods".
If you hang out and seem to get along so well, then I would think she knows you well enough to give you an answer. Oh... btw... did you actually ask her out for a date or just tell her you like her?. Because the whole straight-forward-answer thing sounds like something she would have said when you asked her out. Or did you ask her if she likes you too? Sort of the note with a YES and NO box, but she checked the one that said "I don't know you well enough..."
Anyway... being on the receiving end of the "let's just be friends" bit more times than I care to remember (probably because I have been "damaged goods" for a long time)... her response was a picture-perfect example of the nicely letting you down reply.
Don't sweat it though, you're still young. Enjoy having her as a friend and stay on the lookout for the ones who think of you as something more.

Will my friend!!!! I knew you would like my post and chime in
Sometimes you can take 2 damaged items and put them together to make 1 working item
Not everyone needs that cruch to survive, and i feel like Neo in the matrix seeing the real world without it. It's human nature to associate a person or a name to whatever you don't understand, you call it god, ill call it nature. It's ok for those that have to have that in your life and not survive without it, just want to give realistic perspective without following that particular "book of rules".
The reason i say damaged goods to him, is because it seems that he ISN'T into that religion all that much and it will just be a constant battle for him doing shit he doesn't want to do because she goes by whatever some guy in a suit is telling her his version of a storybook tells to do.
I will however agree with you 100% that she isn't into him.

In my experience christian/religious girls were always the first girls to put a guy in the "friend zone"
Someone on here once told me there's no such thing as "just friends" when it comes to girls, if either of you are even moderately attractive, you're just two ppl who haven't fucked yet, and I think this is true to an extent . . .
The one type of girls who this rule doesn't apply to is christian/religious girls. . . They will be nice to anyone, they will befriend/hangout with anyone and when the average teenage guy hangsout with her he may think she's digging him, but in reality she's just a nice girl. . . That's it, that's all. She probably isn't interested in you at all, she will treat anyone the way she's treating you.
I'm not saying its a bad thing. . . I'm have christian-beleifs, I just don't practice it to the t. . . For example sex before marriage? Sorry, I don't understand why a god would be so cruel to give me these raging hormones, create something as good as sex. . . And then say "haha, got you. . . You can't have that for another 20 to 30 years. . . Oh and if you weren't blessed with good looks and a personality maybe even longer. .. or never "

Good advice all!
Unfortunately ... the seemingly uber religious girls often are the most likely to end up with the "bad" boys. I suggest not falling for either end of that artifice. I am a somewhat practicing Catholic, but my advice is to be wary of any young girl that is extremely religious, you don't want to be around when the pendulum swings the other way, and it will.

Lol @ religious girls moreoften putting guys in the 'friend zone'.....I've known gals who were deeply into their religion but were on the prowl every Friday night!! Funny thing'd be whenever a guy would try to get a committed relationship out of them, then it always seemed the relationships would fall apart.....just some of the gals I've worked wioth in the past.....but yeah, doesn't sound like this gal is ready, so iether continue being friends and hope she'll make the next move......OR simply move on.

The thing about religious girls is that you're at least going to know what direction the craziness is going to be coming from.
