I am not a marathoner but I have been in Disney the last two years that they have run this race. They also have a special medal for anyone that runs both the full & half. No kidding, it is called the Goofy Medal. You would have to be Goofy to run 39 miles in two days. One poor guy died at the end of the full this past year.

My only complaint was that they commandeer some parts of the properties for this event. They also have a power walking event at Epcot. Last year my daughter was nearly run over by some heffer doing that event. We purposely booked next years trip after this event.

I had a friend who did the Disney a few years ago. He said it was great fun. The half and the Full? Holy crap! That's a pretty gutsy thing to do. Good luck to both of you.

I'd do both in a heartbeat. It's sounds like so much fun! I want to sign up. Just waiting to see how my knee surgery goes on MOnday, before I spend more money on races.

I'm planning on doing it. I don't know how successful I'm going to be b/c I've been tailoring my training for the Rock 'n' Roll half marathon in Virginia Beach on Sept. 3, and I don't know if I'll have time to get ready for the goofy challenge.
