Ray,
Is it chafing, or soreness from bouncing? If it's chafing, cover them with band aids, or use a product like Body Glide, a solid stick lubricant sold in running stores and in stores that sell wet suits. You may also want to avoid cotton shirts. When cotton gets wet it lays flat against your chest and the constant rubbing will eventually rub you raw and give you the dreaded bloody nipples. I really like the new fabrics that wick away moisture. Running stores sell tops, bottoms and socks made of the new fabrics. The socks will help avoid blisters. BTW.
If it's from bouncing, you are forcibly tearing the muscles and tissue around your areolas and you may need a sports bra, or something like it.
Men tend to have the chafing problem and women tend to have the bouncing problem, so I'm guessing you are chafing. I think both conditions are fairly common when you run at the distance and pace you are describing. If the problem persists, see your doctor.
BTW, 7:30 minute miles for 8 miles is a nice race pace! Good luck with your work outs, Ray.
