Weird Pain
Last week I ran 13.3 on Monday and followed it by 7.6 on Wednesday. On the first run, I had to stop at 13.3 because of some pretty intense lower body pain. I walked about 1000 meters and it didn't feel any better. After dealing with the soreness after that sort of run, the run on Wednesday went fine. Now, on Sunday, I'm feeling some weird pain in my right leg. The closest thing I can use to describe it is queasy. I'm pretty sure that's the word. It just feels like my leg makes me sort of sick. Any ideas on what this is?

I've got strong legs. Traditionally I've been into weightlifting, but now I'm trying to get into distance running. I'm a pretty big guy (about 250), so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Does it hurt in a particular place in your leg? I've never heard of a leg making someone feel queasy. It seems to me that you must be experiencing some kind of cramping, bone, or tendon problem and the signal to your brain is getting interpreted as a sickness feeling. Have you ever had any kind of neurological disorder?
I'm sorry I can't be more help, but maybe if you could narrow down where exactly it hurts you can start there.

It predominantly hurts in the joints, but sometimes I get an ache right mid thigh. It appears to be getting better, so I'm hoping it was just a temporary thing, however weird it was.

I do squats, leg presses, deadlifts, straight leg deads, standing and sitting calf raises, leg curls and extensions, and power cleans. Not all in one day, mind you, but usually split over two days.

damn DUDE! I thought i was a big runnner @ 6' 230lbs. I've been back on the running bandwagon about 2 weeks now and can run about 4.5 miles at a time. FOr a guy your size to run 13.3, that's impressive dude. Props.

I just ran 15 and I'm feeling a lot better. Maybe my system was yelling at me after the first time that I did it. Who knows.
