Hey guys! Like many of you know, about a year ago I was 200 pounds, 16 years old, and pissssssssssssed! Then i got off my ass and started running and doing weights! Now I'm 17, 150 Pounds, and BUFF! lol
I only "trained" for this run for 4 months since i hadnt heard of it before!
So my first run of any kind, ever....

I hate this picture!
So thanks for looking! Try and imagine me 50 pounds heavier, with no muscle definition or any of that good stuff

Congrats - you've done some impressive work! (and the only way I'm finishing a half is if I get to ride a bike part of the time )

1:40 in a half is great, 7:40 mm. Especially on only a year of running and 4 months of training. Some people won't get that in a lifetime. Congrats.
I am training for my first marathon this summer (June 21st). After taking a good 8+ years off from running (hs track) I was up to 215 (from a pretty firm 185). Been back at it for a little over 3 months and back below 2 bills. Right now my goal is 9 mm. I have found this site helpful for keeping track of my runs and forums RunningAHEAD
I would also say join the track and cross country teams. Would help you improve a lot and get some training advice. For instance in a couple of pics it looks like you are heel striking (your heel hits the ground first, you want your midfoot to strike first or basically a flat foot striking the ground) and striking in front of your body (most suggest your foot should be at least even with your hips, if not behind, and behind your torso before it strikes the ground)

Congrats. If you have done a 5k can you compare the two? Also what kind of training do you do in those four months?
