My new cutting diet
I have heard that dieting is mainly what is involved in getting teh six pack abs, and with my height a six pack would look godly on me. lol. No im not having a relapse for those participated in the poll to kick my poor little ass out.
lol.
My diet consists of five meals of 500 calories.
(meal #1)
Apple
celery stalk
two peices of whole grain toast,
55 grams of prot in water.
(meal #2)
9 tator tots with 2 table spoons of ketchup
apple
a whole bag of beef jerky (about 45 grams of protein, and yes im aware of the sodium levels)
(meal #3)
A whole carrot(not the little shitty ones)
An extremely small boal of rice
55 grams of prot in water.
(meal # 4)
Black and pinto beans mixed with corn (very small boal)
a peice of celery
55grams prot in water
(meal #5)
A small peice of chicken or lean beef. This sometimes is replaced with cottage cheese cause it is slow digest
some sort of vegetable
25 grams of prot in water
There it is. I also jog for about 35 minutes 4-5 days a week, and i hit the gym three days a week to sustain the muscle i gained over a bulk that lasted about 6 months.
I try to keep the cardio diverse. I like to mix it up a bit.
Sometimes i do bearcrawls, hitt training, sprints, and biking. i would like to incorportate stadiums, but ihavent had the time yet. Well, there is always the stairs in my house.
I am really determined to get the abs without burning up the muscle too much
Thanks,
Champion

Well, you really seem to want to get those abs-- I'm no expert but I would suggest staying away from the fatty foods like the tater tots... The cardio sounds good as long as you keep switching it up, like you have already stated. Pay attention to your calorie intake and try to cut most of the "evil" fats from your diet : ) .... You are just trying to cut down on body fat, not loose weight, is that right?

Some of the tough-love:
And you need a ton more dietary fat in your diet. Probably more carbs, too. Most people will agree that you certainly don't need 250g of protein a day when you're gaining size - let alone losing it - and everyone will agree that 165g a day from supplements is excessive.
Good luck.

Seems pretty good except I think you should try to consume less powdered protein and replace it with some more meat/fish/eggs. For example you could replace the morning shake with an omelette and the meal#3 shake with a piece of meat/fish.

thats whats recommended by most lifters and lifting mag's, trainers, etc....
truth is you dont need that much to build muscle, but if you are gonna consume calories may as well be protein instead of carbs and fats.
I gotta agree, dump less powder and start taking a lunchbox with you that has a can of tuna or a chicken breast instead of the powders for those meals.
Eggs are great like already mentioned. Has nice supply of protein and fats, and not the bad fats that will raise your LDL.
Other than that your in the right direction for your calorie deficit as far as your actual number go.

When building mass, 1g/lb lean body mass. Search the forums - there's already a discussion on it, with a couple of differing views as to appropriat protein intake. It's all agreed, though, that those numbers are for building mass.
It's great to want to put forth the effort, but you've got to learn what you're doing. Read more about diet, both in the forums and elsewhere online (you'll also learn that bulking and cutting is a pretty bad strategy unless you're using AAS).

as a trainer who coaches competitors, if you want a 6 pack I would do like so....
(meal #1)
a serving of steel cut oats
55 grams of prot in water.
(meal #2)
1/2 breast grilled chicken and 1/2 cup brocolli
(meal #3)
1 cup greens, spinach or the like.
An extremely small boal of rice - brown
55 grams of prot in water.
(meal # 4)
4-6 egg whites
1 cup greens again
55grams prot in water
(meal #5)
4-6 chicken or fish or a cup of dry cottage cheese with 1/2 cup green beans
1-3 hours pre bed have this.
25 grams of prot in water with a handful of almonds
I would up the cardio if after a week you don't see leaning on this diet.

I'm not on a quest for abs more so as just to lean down a bit and put on some muscle. My personal feeling is to ditch the tatertots. Or any hasbrowns for that matter, they are fried in some type of oil that probably isn't of the high quality kind.
[rant] dear god, the spelling around here is atrocious, boal, peice? Are you guys f*(#$ kidding me? Did you make it through 5th grade? [/rant]

Thanks all.
will 9 tator tots keep me from gettting a 6 pack at age 18? I mean, those will be burn off with the cardio right?
can 2 grams more of saturated fat prevent a six pack? All just questions but i REALLY appreciate the advice.
Thanks for the diet Italian angel, i might just try that out. What is the total number of calories in the diet you posted?
About a week has passed and i have already noticed leaning. It is encouraging to see.

Yes I'm pretty sure there is... and it's even more pathetic people need a spell checker for single syllable 4 letter words.
Seriously.. bowl.. thats like the next progression up from Cat and Dog. If my kid (assuming I had one) misspelled that in high school there is a good chance I would beat them to death with a dictionary.
Really now, get off the internet and study something. It's like the tyranny of the stupid I tell you.

Keep in mind that you can get just as fat eating protein as you can any other macronutrient, generally you feed the muscle that you have, not the entire bodyweight. Do your lean body mass, then use 1 gram per pound thereafter.

bottom line is if you want to be lean and are not, then what you are doing is not working.................including a few tator tots, more or less macros, more or less protein.
