Crash Diet
I know that generally healthy eating and workouts r the way to go and i'm doing that but, I want to know is there a crash diet I can go on for a week or two where i'll lose weight fast but will still feel energetic and awake t get through the day?? I read some posts and in some about a only fruit drinks for a week and 10day carb-free etc.
I'm thinking if I go on one i'll take mulivitams and maybe just eat veg for a whole week to wash my body out to start? or something similar. What i'm basically looking for is the absolute minimum amount of food to eat to stay awake and energetic throughout the day and no more, just for a while to help the fat get out of my body.
any advice to how to go about this is appreciated!

Well theres the "lemon cleanse" where you are guaranteed to lose alot of weight within a week, but you might not feel to energetic throughout the day.

Sorry. None will give you the effect you're looking for. There just aren't shortcuts.

Honestly this is a stupid idea, especially when you have a substantial amount of weight to lose as is your case. I'm in no way trying to insult you by the way, I just want to let you know how bad these diets have proven to be, and to convince you not to got this route. Forget about finding a miracle shortcut and do what you know you got to do !

There's a level of calories to meet, and you should not go below that. You may need a long time to reach your goal, it's only because you been indulging for a long time.
You should NOT do a diet that doesn't meet your min metabolic needs.
The main reason is that such diet force your metabolism to slow down further, making it harder every time to drop the calories sufficiently to actually loose weight. Eat healthily and INCREASE activity, and if your body doesn't feel comfortable on a treadmill (and it really shouldn't) use a bike, go to spinning classes, use a rowing machine, use the stepper's, use the cross trainer (mind shoulder pain on this as well). Space out your food intake, a little, balanced. at a time, at least 5 times a day. And no fish and chips shop nor kebab house for this girl till crimbo

These cleanses may help you lose a few pounds but they won't be worth the foul mood you'll be in. Not eating any carbs for 10 days will make you bite people's heads off. And whatever weight you do lose will quickly come back as soon as you start eating differently. I understand your desire to want to see some progress if only to encourage you to keep on with a good diet and exercise program, but it may backfire so just keep up with healthy meals and time in the gym. good luck!

thanks for the advice everyone and I get where your coming from about the stupid idea thing but fact is less calories I put into my body more weight i'll lose, and really on the amount of fat I have as 'spare' unlikely i'll run out of energy !
I've decided to start a 7day 'flush out the crap' eating plan then after it i'll resume to my regular breakfast lunch dinner thing i'm doing now, no more fried food and sugary crap anymore either way! I am however going to continue with the workouts, no budging on them!
Have decided from from Monday, will eat only fruit for breakfast, veg for lunch and again fruit/veg for dinner, i'll also b drinking minimum 3L water per day &multivitamins&iron &herbal tea(sugarless), if I do feel tired or dizzy i'll allow myself a lowfat yog or energy drink, and yes probably a stupid idea but I wanna give it a shot anyway !

have you considered the velocity diet? not that I recommend crash diet, but at least this one has been specifically formulated for fatloss/muscle retention. It has been tested by some of the members here. If you're curious, it is outlined completely on both TESTOSTERONE NATION and MUSCLE WITH ATTITUDE (both sites' articles accompanied by their own proprietary supplement-pushing), and probably can be found on Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. . Following a well planned diet like this may minimize the detrimental effects to your body that a crash diet done willy nilly will otherwise cause.

I would go with vegan for a week then, that is like a cleanse, fruits, veggies, broths, juices, and maybe whey shakes to keep protein in the mix. can also use hemp.
Veggie soups and veggie purees, read up on raw food diet or raw food recipes, this is another way to cleanse. I have used these for competitors and clients when their body needs to 'reset' in order to get some results, due to abuse or just bad dieting habits, for whatever reason their body is stubborn to let go of the fat.
I also use it for post contest after the first week where you binge on what you want that is.
It helps reset things post contest, post binge.
parsley, dandelion, bitter greens and acidic fruits are all great for cleansing. Garlic is also good.

oh and teas too. I also liked using milk thistle or liver cleanse for that week or month and bought some health inc plus super colon cleanse, kidney cleans and liver cleanse which also hits thyroid and adrenal.

hahah go on the velocity diet...i did it....grab you about 4 ten pound bags of protein shakes..and some grits for the am....basically you eat the grits when you get up with milk..then the rest of the day you do your workout and drink shakes and thats it..you depend on the shakes....hahaha you can do that and you lose weight fast but still maintain a good amount of your muscle tha tyou have...so have fun with that if you want to try that....its hard to stay on..but worth it..
