Protein Shake Foam Reduction?
Is there something I can add to my protein shake that'll kill that foam?

are you mixing it with milk? If so try skim or soy milk to reduce the foam a bit. Water should create very little foam. You are supposed to mix it up and let it sit for a few min to get rid of the foam but im guessing you are like me and just want to drink the damn thing and not wait any longer while sucking down buldges of foam

Maybe try pouring it into a glass at an angle like they do with beer? They do it that way to give it the least amount of foam so maybe it'll work for protein shakes?

Sometimes the foam can be substantial, like heavy powder particles in it. In any case, I usually skim most of it off the top with a spoon.

What kind of protein powder are you guys using? I have never experienced this foaming and i have used many different brands. I usually mix with water or milk.

I use like a mini blender and it causes a lot of foam. I don't mind it. Is this a negative thing or you guys just afraid of gas or something?

This works for me, odd as this may sound, I stir into the foam with my finger and the salt from my finger seems to kill the foam. I guess you could sprinkle salt on it but that would taste gross............

HAHA that brings back memories of the party days. After you drunkenly pour a glass of beer from the keg, you wipe your nose with your finger then swirl it around in your cup, the foam starts popping and going away.
