acetyl l carnitine?
Supposedly a benefit to memory and sort of anti - alzheimers supplement. Also heard it assists fat burning, anyone use this stuff that way? Just kind of stumbled upon it and am wondering what the impact might be.

I use it. Useful when combined with green tea extract and cayenne pepper for a little assistance when cutting. Also helps with focus in the gym when taken pre workout.

No I buy it in bulk powder form (and make big savings!) and take in 3x times a day in 1g doses. As shown in the link given by Bunny it has many uses and well worth considering.

Here's an interesting read on ALCAR and ALA, a worthy combo?
Alpha-Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L-Carnitine

That is one of a couple dozen studies by Bruce Ames, who is the world's leading authority on cancer. He invented the AMES index which tells who carcinogenic a given material is. A very dear friend of mine (lucky for me in the supp business ) has a family member that works at the hosptial with him in CA.
Bruce N. Ames, Ph.D.
They are both GREAT supps, and Anti Cancer is probably the biggest reason I use both together (R-ALA (glucorell) and ALCAR) for the most part.
