Suggest a good 'post-workout' bar??
Can anybody suggest a good bar to have after a workout? I always have my whey protein shake but I'm looking for a high-carb bar to go along with it.

Yuck, I gave up on protein bars the minute I started them. The delicious treat on the wrapper must have been a mixup.. Because when I opened this double chocolate fudge icecream brownie delicious looking thing I found a brick of chalk lol!!
I do not know how good they are for you, but the south beach diet bars have a good amount of protein in them and they are pretty tastey. I've eaten the peanut butter flavored ones and I would definitley reccomend them.

Clif bars are good! Lots of carbs. Any powerbar is loaded with carbs as well

Detour bar isn't too bad. They have a few varieties and they aren't that bad, but I'd prefer to have a protein shake.

I get a double chocolate flavored bar which is called 'Pure Protein' - it has 32 grams of protein, 26 grams of carbs, 5 grams of sat fat and almost no sugar. Not too bad I would say. Costs about $2.79 each.

It might just be easier and cheaper to just get a shake that has more carbs in it, but if you're set on a bar I'd echo the powerbar/cliff bar votes (or you could get some carb gel (powerbar/gu), though that seems to be wasting money).

Almost all protein bars these days have trans fats. The only protein bar i'll eat is 'BUILDERS' bars, made by Clif. They're all natural

Is drinking Muscle Milk a good choice after a workout??
It's high in protein but the carb numbers aren't very high. 21 g of Protein but only 9 g of Carbs in 11 oz.
