Mangosteen
I have been taking this most of the year, almost daily.....2 tbs per day, love the taste but......I take many other things and have never taken this just by itself to see what it really does for me..........I know I feel good on my combo of things but cannot speak for this one by itself.
So who else uses this and has better experience with it and its benefits????

I never heard of it. I looked it up and read a bit. Do you take it for its antioxidant use?

Hey Linda
I too take magosteen , and have been taking it since January. I must say that this past winter I experienced no colds! Where usually I would get at least one cold during the season.
Mangosteen is a potent antioxidant and the xathones compounds in it make it a very highly nutritious supplement. For athelets, fitness/body building competitors and anyone under a more than average amount of stress ( this includes anyone dealing with a serious illness or disease) mangosteen is very appropiate and beneficial.
Most of us on here workout hard and train consistently. Excercise and intense physical activity creates free radical activity within the cells of the body and muscle breakdown. So to counter these not so good effects from intense excercise we need to introduce anti oxidants to our systems.
One way is to eat lots of organic vegetables that are highly pigmented like carrots, red peppers, orange peppers, dark green leafy vegetables like kale and swiss chard, yams, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries ect ect. On top of this supplementing with magosteen and a good multi vitamin isn't a bad idea for those of us in greater need of anti oxidant protection. oxygen breaks down the chemical composition of things, so we need to neutralize this process.
Also I would highy suggest in addition to magosteen, a high quality greens formula, ie greens plus. This will also help with antioxidant protection and daily detoxification.
Hope this helps!
Piera

Excellent.
on the multi, on the greens and when not strict dieting, on the carrrots, always on leafy and or dark and the fruits, less fruit pre contest leaning though but this time around have still had some.....peppers for some reason, my tummy does not like.
I can eat something made with peppers, take the chunks out and my tummy still complains, mainly by repeating it for hours................I love how the red and orange and yellow smell but I can only eat hot peppers, not bell.............although never have looked into why or what that is about..........again if you know, and its something you can share, I am open!!!
this was not always, just later in years well, maybe I did not notice or figured the repeat was normal as a kid and it happened then too...........

Hey Linda
For some people green peppers and peppers in general pose a problem because they may be lacking in substantial amounts of stomach acid. Try to get a stomach acid test to see if you produce enough.
Also it indicate a slight food intolerance. Night shade vegetables ( peppers, tomatoes, eggplants) tend to be problematic for some, because they have an allergy or intolerance to them. Usual omitting them from the diet is the first step. Then I would suggest a food sensitivity and allergy test. Because you could actually have some digestive inflammation caused by other offending foods that need to be eliminated at least initially so that the body can heal and overcome the inflammation.
So its really important that whenever you have digestive disorders or symtpoms that you consider a good EFA oil supplement. This combats internal inflammation among other health benefits. This way it can promote internal healing and provide a healthier foundation.

on the efas, take tons
now when you say allergy test do you mean the medical one? I just had one a few years back, I am allergic to all poultry and eggs and learned by a almost fatal anaphylactic shock with eggs...........I had 6 mths of discomfort and gas but no clue it was the egggs, I ate lots of eggs my whole life so I did not even think.......so now.....14 years or so later I tested a few years back, the egg one was better but they said not to eat it anyway, or the poultry.
feathers too ironically......most danders, pollens......most of the year something is making me sick, molds.
Chronic bronchial asthma with allergies my whole life.
then came cold uritcaria, pressure urticaria which all just came the past 10 years or just a bit less......its all immune related.
I take curcumin, finlandia lung tea, collius forskholii, efas by the truckload, hemp, mct, used to use udos regularly, evoo, and eat tons of nuts, love olives, avacado.......
eggplant is not so bad or tomato, although I should pay attention.
Thanks for the info!!

I have seen and tried the Mangosteen. Since you mentioned Acai. here goes..
Check out the link in my profile. I have found a product that has so many things going for it, it kind of blows the rest out of the water. I have been using this for about 3 months now and am astounded! No more sore hands, aching joints and according to the studies, both on this product and the Acai berry...well there aint much better out there, IMHO.
Like I say, take it for what it is worth as I am affiliated with them, but I am affiliated with them because I love what it has done for me, and I have cut my supplements waaaay down as I do not need them....
