Energy During workout
So I've been on the V-diet for just over a month. I've had great results up till this past weekend when I had to do some traveling for a funeral. I don't always eat good when back with the family and friends.
I'm down about 18 lbs before we left, and have definition slowly forming. For three and a half weeks of work I'm really happy with the results. To get my wife to do it we modified it slightly and have a solid, but healthy, dinner any day we lifted, which I recommend to anyone looking to do the diet. She wasn't as religious as I was but still is happy with her results, something like 10 lbs.
Obviously being very low-carbs it's getting more difficult to finish my gym routines. I just get exhausted. I'm looking for something to drink or add to water during my workout to help boost my energy. The Vdiet article suggests Biotest Surge but I can't find it anywhere other than biotest themselves, and I get discounts at GNC and Vitamin shoppe so why not buy something there
So basically I'm looking for any suggestions, other than surge, for something to give me energy during my workout?

the v-diet recommends surge and whatever else biotest makes because the article was generated by a trainer on tnation's website. They only promote their own products.
I have done this routine twice now, i found it effective for knocking off the pounds quickly. I also found the second time around, that meal in the evening was key to not falling off the wagon. A nice chicken breast and some greens made it not so bad.
If you are following the routine you shouldn't be lagging so bad during the workout. The workout as i remember it was meant to be very fast, you should be completing it in an hour or less. If you really are lagging that badly, as falcon recommended, ephedrine and caffine does wonders. Hell i am pretty sure you are supposed to be taking a thermo product for this routine anyway. They probably recommend hot rox, which does do ok but not near as effective as ephedrive and caffine. You can dump the asprin, its been shown not as effective as everyone originally thought.
Another great and even better thermo would be clenbuteral, but its not fda approved so youd have to get it through a hookup. Even better with it is a T3 hormone, jacks the thyroid up and puts your metabolism through the roof. Both work great together, but as everything they all have their health risks and sides.

I like Surge, but I typically use it peri or post-workout. It's just a lot of simple carbs to spike your insulin and pull the bcaa, protein, and creatine (added separately) into you muscles. IMO, it tastes awesome, but it's not what I'd use to get hyped before a workout.
Besides the thermos suggested above, I'd try something with BCAAs and/or caffeine like Gaspari SuperPump250 or Controlled Labs Purple Wrath. I've used both and like Purple Wrath when working out in the evening, since I still want to sleep that night. If I train in the morning or in the early evening (braving the post-work gym chaos), SuperPump is a good choice. I'd give something like that a try. They shouldn't interfere with your v-diet.

good with the hotrox russ, like i said ive done this thing twice and can offer lots of advice on what works and what doesnt. I didnt get tired until later in the afternoon. I just started making my afternoon dose of ephedrine and caffine later. Perhaps the hotrox 2nd dose later would help.
