supplements
I was wondering what kind of protien or supplement that you would reccomend for a hockey player in the off season. I work out usually on a daily basis and I am looking for somthing that will allow me to train harder without losing as much energy, and somthing that could increase my strength and endurance without gaining a lot of weight. Where could this be purchased? I look forward to your response?
Thank you,
hockey PHS

protein is protein...should aim to get a good amount of it from food. a whey protein powder is mainly for convenience...you'd have a shake post workout and wherever else you may need the convenience/protein.
if you're a creatine responder then you can give it a shot...
should really focus on getting a good solid diet though...supplements aren't must haves..they just supplement the diet.

i think zma is a waste of money and much better results can be achieved through proper diet...
i dont believe there are many studies showing zma's positives either..probably one or two..and i believe there have been flaws in the study...
perhaps the creatine was what made the difference and not the zma???

i get both when i tried zma. in the past, i used to just go to coma like sleep and just refuse to wake up even after 14 - 15 hour sleeps. but i tried it again about 1 month ago and i become aggressive as hell too and had to force myself to stop it. but right now my sleeping pattern is completely fucked up. i sleep 3 to 4 hours a night if that, then i am ready to go for the next day. i usually just crash on the weekends but that is it. after that again, for the whole week only 3-4 hours and sometimes an hour and i am ready to go again. i dont know...its not killingme, so not gonna worried about it for now at least...
