Is there a such thing as too much protein?
I love my protein drinks (soy protein and Milk) after a workout
so i have them maybe 2-3 times a day even if i lift that day or not
But i was wondering if there is a point where your body can get to much protein?

your body can use a lot of protein, more than anyone would use for bodybuilding, so the old line about how "too much protein is pissed out etc." is a myth
if your body is built enough and your workouts are serious enough you can easily use 600-800 grams of protein daily and it will all be used, except ofcourse with anything you digest, not all of it will be absorbed...... things in your stomach fight for absorbtion and not everything wins

Too much protein intake can lead to kidney problems. Also, if you take in more calories per day than your body can utilize, they're going to be stored as fat. See this article: How Much Protein Do Athletes Need?

What works best for me is 0.6-0.8 grams of protein per pound of bodywieght. There is definitely a point where excess protein is stored as adipose tissue.

I was wondering about this too... I have these protien bars that I eat about 20-30 mins before I workout, they contains about 20g of protien.... Then after I have 2 scoops of my N Large 2, aka 1/2 a serving. A full serving has 60 grams of protien.
Is that too much protien to have at once.

How much do you wiegh now? I also think Old Fart2's article is worth reading, my conclusion is that you must find what works best for you and for me it's about 75-80 grams per day. I weigh 148lbs.

If my wieght was 170lbs, I would focus on maintaining my protein intake btwn 80-90 grams per day. If I was trying to increase mass I would stay toward the upper end.
