Default Fat Burners/Thermogenics

OK, I'd like to introduce my girlfriend to the world of thermos to help her with fat loss, but I want to avoid caffeine. She has been lifting now for about 6 months, and she is still the same weight. I've done her bodyfat and she has gone down about 2-3 % which is great, but she still looks at the scale; and of course she would like to lose the fat that all women have on the back of her thighs and butt. For her probably 7-8 lbs and she would be probably delirous at how this looks.

Which ones out there are good, and don't keep you awake all night, as well as don't contain high amounts of caffeine???

Anyone, anyone?

I've heard about Clenbuterol, anyone try that stuff?

probably her best bet would be ephedrine wich is basically hydroxy cut. but the usual method is caffeine (nodoz), ephedrine, aspirin all 3 combined.
clenbuterol is a bit on the dangerous side but doable. its basically a asthma medication that if used in proper dosages can be quite beneficial for fat loss, but theres much more to it then just that. additives for heart health and function is recomended since its a antagonist. also usually have to cycle with benadryl. not something you should take without proper research and supplements.

Just curious how you derived these numbers because they're not correct! The average woman who is athletic may have BF in the range of 18-20%. Even male bodybuilers are around 3% during a contest (and I'm talking pros with gear!).

It would not be healthy to be at 2-3% BF for anyone! In fact, if it were for a prolonged period of time, serious health issues would develop.

I think what sonney said was his girlfriend went down 2 to 3 percent from what she previously was which is a fine accomplishment. I don't think anyone would be complaining about being 2 or 3 percent in bf. I was told recently that you could get real ephedrine online and if so I will definately get some. Ephendrine worked great for me and if used properly I would suggest it to anyone. You used to be able to get ephedrine from a website called supplements.com ...I'm not sure if you still can but I'll look into it. Forb may have access to some ephedrine if you choose to go away from the clenbuterol path, but thats totally up to you as everyone reacts differently to that medication. I know people that still buy ephedrine online and I will be sure to ask them for you where they get it because i think it's great stuff. I'll let you know when I know. Good luck!

Okay, I have tried probably almost 70% of fat burners in my time. I now personally think they are all garbage, and the "natural" way is the best way for losing weight. In my opinion, all those fat burners do is to give a "kick start" due to the caffiene and other ingredients.

The best solutions to lose weight period, it to watch the diet (what you eat) and cardio. You have to burn more calories than you consume.

But if you are persistant to getting a fat burner, I tend to have liked Hydroxycut Hardcore. I used to take Glucorell-R and Hydroxycut Hardcore before meals (Breakfast and lunch). Glucorell-R is taken with one capsule for every 30 grams of carbs consumed so the carbs won't be stored as fat, hence the fat burner usage to burn those supposed fat stores. This again is what I have used, but before buying any fat burner, you should do some research in regards to the contents/ ingredients and make sure your gf has no allergies, and medical conditions. With fat burners, new people to them, may get the side effects (headaches, nausea, light headedness, stomach cramps, etc).

Also note if you are going to introduce fat burners to your gf, make sure she drinks a lot of water and she better not mind going to the washroom often.

IMO, if she is still making gains (or in this case losses in bf), there is no reason to use thermogenics yet. Losing bf takes time, I would suggest that her best bet to get that slim toned look is patience and consistency.

From what I see, most thermogenic i see usually contiain green tea extracts, caffine or both. Some also contain ephedrine, but thats banned in my country...

Thermogenics help, but not much. They may burn a few extra cals, but those cals can be canceled out by drinking anything but water, adding condiments to food, (assuming the diet plan is on point) etc.

The most a thermo can do for you is pump you up mentally do work that extra little bit, while increasing heart rate.

How much cardio is she doing?

Thanks so much for the help I appreciate it.

Here is the routine she is doing now:

3-4 Days a week:
Cardio
Anywhere from 30 - 40 Mins on the treadmill averaging about 250 - 400 cals per session. (mainly first AM)

(Here are the exercises she basically does once a week. Sorry but I don't have the time to write out the plan I built her on excel for the next 12 weeks, it is modeled as such around what I estimated on her 1RM.)

I change the order, the weight etc., every 4-6-12 weeks on her, she is making good progress and her form (thanks to me :-) is getting better and better. Had to explain it is ALL ABOUT FORM and not weight, and in doing so pointed out half of the knuckle-heads in the gym swaying about while lifting.

2-3 Days a week:
Lifting
Lower Body:
Squats, Deadlifts, Straight Leg Deadlift, Hack Squat, Reverse barbell lunge, Good Mornings, Step-ups with barbell, abductor, adductor, seated calf raise.
Upper:
21s, EZ curls, Lying tricep press, Barbell Shoulder press, Incline bench, hanging leg raises, planks, bridges, lateral raise, lat pulldown, cable row, t-bar row, dips, pull ups.

I've got her taking BCAAs, Glutamine before and after lifting, along with the typical post workout shake. She also has started taking ZMA fuel regularly before bed. She seems to really enjoying it, but advises me that she will "never" be as serious as I am, which bothers me a little, BUT she does all this now only after 6 months of picking up her first weight. She has a very busy professional career that sometimes supercedes this stuff. Her prior athletic history is tennis, crew, and marathon type events. For a girl who never lifted weights she has some amazing genes to start off with. She's 30 so I don't think it is to late in the game for her to build a good body, I just had to explain that it takes time; I said "keep up this and in 1-2 years you will have built a stunning body..." she was like "2 years??!" LOL LOL
