Anyone heard of 6-oxo?
I just read an article in MD about 6-OXO. It's supposed to decrease the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Hence, higher blood levels of test. Now I know everyone advertises this, but there was a study done in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 4:13, 2007 which backs this claim up.
Here's part of the discussion from the study:
The results of this study indicate that eight weeks of 6-OXO supplementation had no effect on body composition or clinical safety markers, but incompletely inhibited aromatase activity and significantly increased endogenous DHT levels that were attenuated after a three-week washout period. Therefore, while neither of the 6-OXO dosages appears to have any negative effects on clinical chemistry markers, supplementation at a daily dosage of 300 mg and 600 mg for eight weeks did not completely inhibit aromatase activity, yet significantly increased FT, DHT, and T/E.
You can read the whole study here

Yes, in fact, it's part of this test booster i just started on called Forza-T by Instone. It's basically a 6-0X0 and ZMA combo. Of course, it's difficult to measure efficacy in these products without a test of some sort (do those mail you saliva ones work?). However, I usually think something it increasing test if I get a zit or two.

That's pretty interesting, but I don't understand why there was no significant weight change, they didn't add muscle mass but there testosterone levels did increase? Maybe I missread it

Good point. I think it might have something to do with the fact that none of the participants were required to weight train. They were simply told not to change their activity levels (from baseline).

But it did say in the study that they had 100% compliance from all participants as far as physical activity went. They weren't supervised during their work-outs though. They just had to keep a record.

I wonder if it had any sexual effects? Wouldn't more testosterone = better for sex life?
This is kinda emmbarassing lol, but anyway I suspected I might have low testosterone so I asked for a blood check with my doctor during a check for mono and a week laterr he told me they are fine.. Didn't give me any numbers or anything and I feel like he is lying to me because he also brought up questions about why do I want to know my test levels am I looking into steroids etc..
Anyway the reason I did was cause for a long time now erections been weak :/ were talkin more than 6+ months. I told my doctor he asked me how often I was sexually active, 3 or more times a week might be causing the weak erections. I told him more like 3 or more times a day.. On the days I'm with my gf usually twice? And we see each other about 4 times a week, he said try a few days without it and It should come back, I went about 5 days without it and it seemed a bit stronger, but still not pointing straight up like my days of early puberty when I couldn't stand infront of the class without a book infront of me lol
And its not as if I can't have sex. Its hard enough for penetration and the gf has never had a complaint. But I just remember the days of rock hard tall standing ones :/ lol. The doc said if I am still able to penetrate and have sex without discomfort he would say there's no cause for alarm and its def not e.d more like overuse.
Haha now I feel emmbarased oh well, hopefully someone could help. Maybe I should try 2 or more weeks without it?

i took that right after taking a bottle of Halodrol50, basically a prohormone and a big waste of money, i noticed very minimal gains. Id have been better off getting a small cycle of test for what i spent on those 2 products. After trying several pro hormone's with very minimal gains at best, i have to agree they are nothing but liver killing wastes of money for what you actually get out of them.
