best advice would be to try and get most if not all of your protein and carb requirements by natural foods. but this is the real world and not always possible to do that. stay away from these mass building protein powders, theyre loaded with bad junk carbs. stay with a fairly lean protein powder such as syntha-6 and use waxymaize as the carb supp. now on the other hand when possible utilize real foods such as chicken, steaks etc, for protein requirments as much as possible and use the protein drinks when time constraints are an issue. get your carbs from brown rice veggies and such preferably. but the 2 items i mentioned will help out in an bind. always a good multi-vitaman needed daily. even though your trying to bulk now keep your carbs low in the evening and use only as post workout recovery. its possible to gain too much fat if not watched properly. by utilizing these methods you will keep the fat gain to a minimum. dont completely cut out cardio either, just time it efficiently such as upon wakening when the body can burn glycogen and bodyfat as fuel instead of a meal. after the run then eat breakfast. good healthy one. time most carbs earlier in the day were needed and eat 6 to 8 small meals throughout the day as opposed to just 3. it speeds up the metabolism and keeps nourishment levels steadier.
