Default New Smoothie Shop, NEED your thoughts???

Hey to everyone,

I've been asked to help a new Smoothie shop here in the Charlotte, NC area as they want to see what I can do to help get customers in the doors!!

Quick background on me I used to have a Smoothie shop in Florida 5 years ago and sold it at a high point in the economy, but ever since I let it go I've always wanted to get one going again.

Anyways now the economy is terrible and folks are a bit less likely to buy luxury items so I have my work cut out for me on getting this very nice shop rocking and rolling. As the owners have put a lot of money into it as the inside of this shop looks like a Class Act Bar!

So what I'd like to hear from you'll is ideas on what would get you to pull over your car, walk across the parking lot and into the shop?

Then what do you look for or would like to be able to see while you are inside the shop?

**Few new things I'm going to bring to the shop are the following, let me know if they are good or bad ideas.

1. Bring in work out basic vitamins: proteins, creatines, glutamines, etc...
But they are at whole sale price with only a few dollar mark up so can't be beat on prices.(I'm also going to have gnc, muscle max and Vitamin world prices to show the difference.)
2. Any supplement you buy from our shop I'll add to your smoothie for free (I'll even add in the protein but you have to pay protein shake price, but I will add yours in the cup if you'd like extra protein.)
3. Most smoothie shops charge a DOLLAR to add any of there own vitamins into your smoothie, with us we'll charge 50 cents!!!
4. All gym members will get 20% any smoothie purchase!
5. Buy 5 smoothies get 1 free.

So those are just some perks to get the ball rolling. Any of this sound good or what guys I need some help. So any thoughts would be great to have from you. Thanks for your time upfront from a fellow extreme fitness partner!!!

I'm not sure if walk-ins would care too much, but I know I'm more likely to buy something like that if I can see the nutritional content, even if it's just protein, carb total, simple carbs, fats total and unsat fats

P.S. what an awesome idea!!

gYmgIrL.. Thanks VERY much for the reminder on nutritional content cause I will have that posted under the smoothies name as well as in the MENU!! Plus all smoothies no matter size or kind range from $4.00 to $6.50! Price and quality. All that thanks to super low rent on the building and we are also walking distances from 3 Schools!!

I agree with GG....we've got these Booster Juice franchises all over town, and I've NEVER been inclined to purchase thier so called protein smoothies and other 'boosted' juices, b/c of lack of nutritional info. I personally am more inclined to use outlets like Popeye's (sport supplement shop) for a quick shake when I'm on the run.
At a gym where I used to train, they had a smoothie bar, and used known brands of proteins, EFA's, Glutamines and Creatines, and vitamins as well.....However there weren't anything to draw joe Q public inoff the streets to try....same with Popeye's....just those who are in the 'know' know where to go.....so maybe do advertising in local gyms, supp. shops, sporting outlets, health magazines.....word of mouth works best, but first I would think you would need to draw your target demographic in, and start from there.
