New Ambition-New Problem
Well it kinda starts like this, i got this new job which requires me to lift boxes now and then. My freind (who is six foot and happens to be fairly strong) suggested that i'd start working out, not just for the job but for my personal health. I didn't really think much of it (i just told him to lift the heavy boxes ) I usualy weigh around 125lbs, and didn't think much of it till i went out of town to visit family for about a week. All i ate was chinese food, and family's cooking (you know how good hispanic cooking is) well when i got back i weighed 130lbs!! yea yea big deal right? wrong i was so conviced that with my matbolism i could eat just about whatever i wanted, i've been 125lbs since 8th grade. Needless to say i quickly decided to begin working out. (5lbs in aweek = 20lbs ina month= which = 240lbs in a year) anyway...i talked to alot of my freinds whom suggested different things from changing my diet to mostly protein (meat fish etc), another suggested supplements, someone told me carbs, and i dont even want to get started with the weight training.
Basically i decided to focus on weight training, i own a bench press at how with a barbell. I started Oct 15th doing 5 sets of 40lbs, with 10 crunches in between each set. I did it every other day all the way till Oct 27 (7 other day's later) and started doing 6 sets of the same weight. I'm pretty skinny and used to take it for granted, but then the thought of being a fatty (excuse my french) kinda started to get to me. I'm aiming for the bruce lee look I really have no idea what im doing or where to start but i figured starting to work out was better than contemplating it. I'd appreciate any help/advice and intend to stick to my routine religously. Cuz once i graduate from High School i want to sex up some college chicks with my new body

you want the bruce lee look eh?
But then you say that you want to sex up teh chicas...
I do not think most chicks would go for the look that he had, just my personal OP.
If you want to get shredded like him tho, eat 500 cals below what your daily caloric requirement is, do hiit, sprints, ladders, bearcrawls, updowns, long distance jogging, jump rope, treadmills, and bike. Not all at the same time, lol, if you do too much you will burn muscle- because of the low caloric intake, your body will not be able to repair fully before you do it again, and again. You might lose muscle mass, and that is never a good thing. So keep your protein intake high to sustain muscle mass. If you weigh like say 150, take 150 grams a day. This amount is for building muscle, but in my opinion you should take the same amount if you are cutting to assure muscle sustenance.
You should also lift weights, but again do not overdo. Im cutting right now and im only doing one set of each exercise because i know im not giving my body enough to repair.
With a deficit in calories it just isnt a good idea. You might run the risk of burning muscle which would decrease your metabolism.
If you change your mind and decide to bulk, eat heavy brotha... I mean eat crazy amounts of everything..You can do this so long as you also chug protein shakes and work out like an animal at the gym.
Also know that with muscle comes fat, but it is hard to gain muscle without fat. IT can be done, but i have never done it- there will probably be several others that post who know more than i.
Good luck bro

LoL, let me rephrase that statement then.....i want the bruce lee body, minus the bowl cut. I don't know what half those exercises are so i guess i'll research them. Now when you say i can't get muscle w/o fat, i get an uneasy feeling about that statement. I've heard it before but it just doesn't get through...
care to elaborate?

alright in short...
in order to gain muscle you wanna get all the nutrients you can so your muscles will have what they need and more to grow...when your doin this...its really really really hard to not gain some fat...your tryin to max out your cal intake and be flippin lazy..just to pack on the pounds and lift hard as hell to grow muscle mass...i mean fo rme...im almost done bulkin...i eat a shitload of pizza ...all you can eat buffets...anything that is tastin good...im eattin...when i do this...i could careless how many carbs im sleepin on...if your bulkin and have the discipline to keep workin out...then youll know if you lose the 6 pack but get 20 pounds heavier..then you have what it takes to keep the muscle you gained for the most part..but cut the fat that came with it..
all in all...
if you wanna bulk...then gain weight...forget about fat...you can cut it later...
if you wanna stay smal just get cut...then watch diet..do cardio and lift....cut caloric intake...

not meening to step on your toes on purpose but you need to go heavy still at least once a week to retain your gains also during cut. basically use it or lose it!
