Gaining some weight
I'm looking to gain around 10 pounds this summer. I'm almost 6ft, and about 120 pounds right now. I'm extremely skinny, as you can probably tell from the numbers. I have an extremely high metabolism. I snack all the time, which I'm pretty sure isn't good for gaining weight? Not sure though. I do eat breakfast everyday. But during the summer my "breakfast" will most likely be lunch (I get up around 12 everyday in the summer). I also plan on working out 3-5 times a week during the summer. My question is. What kind of food should I be eating and how many meals a day(take into account I'll be getting up at around 12) should I have? Also, is this a reasonable goal? Thanks in advance!

whoa! 6' 120lbs? how old are you? im guessing your still in your youth at these numbers or your a severe anorexic or eq. starting your day at 12....you have that period were from 7am to 12 pm were during the other part of the year i would guess you were having a breakfast and a snack maybe. could get up temp, slam a protein shake and back to bed at this timeframe. anyways being a hardgainer your gonna need to really step up the nutrients in your diet. high protein foods, complex carbs such as veggies. the mc donalds and burger king crap can go out the window. probably wouldnt hurt to supplememnt with a protein drink several times a day at that weight in addition to a proper diet. you dont want to start pileing on the bad carbs like potato chips and such either. you keep the diet clean and you will put some weight on. your going to need to eat 6 to 8 times a day in order to probably be of any benefit and gain any weight. good luck.

I'm 15. Are there any specific kind of workouts you'd suggest for me to build mass? Also, could you give me an example of an eating schedule that I might have. What kind of foods, portion sizes, and other things like that. And finally, would this be a reasonable goal for me?

3 rules.
1. 8-12 reps of compound exercises. Even 5 exercises, 2 sets each, 3 times a week.
2. Find out what you are allergic to and don't eat it. Eat normally, but plentifully.
3. Don't over do. Same exercises 7 times a week will hurt you.
That's all.
