Exclamation Is It possible..........in Six Weeks?

Okay.

So is it possible to tone up a stomach or get noticable defined abs in six weeks?

If you exercise properly on time, is it possible?

Thanks

and P.S

Any tips for stomach exercises and how to bulk up arms?

depends on a lot of factors, for some people yes it is, for others not a chance

need more information, more specifically about the person trying to do it...

Diet and cardio. Pretty much says it all. Do a search here first and see what others have already said.

The Italian Angel gave me advice and since then I've started using one of those balls. I was prejudiced at first, you know, the macho guy cro-magnon thing. "uh, me lift rock, big big rock"
But after getting my wife one(wink wink) I can tell you that you really feel it, really helps with oblique movements, and the amount of correcting you do with the torso to stabilize yourself engages the whole group......
Thanks Angel!!!!

I'd say its possible, but you really have to watch your diet. I'm in the same boat as you in terms of bodyfat but I know that the reason for me not getting noticable abs is the fact that its summer and I love ice cream!!!!

The thing you have to look at is:
Diet - get a plan and stick to it. Reasearch it well. There are much better nutritional people in here than me. check out the nutrition and supps section.
Cardio - more than 20 minutes is good
Exercising - all your body parts - for your core you'd want crunches, reverse crunches, twists. Basic moves are the ones that work.

i split my ab workout into 4 days

monday: crunch machine and hanging leg lifts
tuesday: russian twist and decline oblique crunches
thursday: cable pull down crunches and leg lifts off a flat bench (i usually do them under a smith machine and lower the bar for balance and only sit on the bench from my head to lower back)
friday: russian twist and barbell side crunches

it has worked pretty well for me

What's going to allow you to achieve this is by not letting anyone tell you it's impossible. Stick to a good diet, lift, do your crunches and stay consistent!! If you're not there in 6 weeks, tell yourself you will get there in 3 more weeks, and keep doing what you were doing. If you're not there after 9 weeks, say it might take you 2 more weeks and keep going!

Assuming you're young (teenager), now is the perfect time to focus on abs

You shouldn't have to do a zillion crunches, because basically you're working your abs doing other exercises. Abs are purely based on diet and cardio...so watch what you eat and do plenty of cardio (running, rollerblading, walking etc.)

If you're thin and you want to "bulk up your arms", you should eat more and cut back on cardio!

Do heavy squats and some kind of arm exercises like bench press, dips, weighted pushups, pullups, etc. Make sure your form is correct.

Your belly might look more proportioned if the rest of your body was stronger. Have you thought of that?

You know, not everyone considers a small, thin belly with zero fat a sign of health or beauty on a man. In Asia, they traditionally look at a strong, full midsection as a sign of a man's strength, and a little bit of fat is considered healthy.

By the way, regarding leg-raises, are the hip flexors even visible? I think the psoas is hidden inside the pelvis somewhere but I'm not an expert on these things.

The illeo-psoas group IS deeply hidden and not visible externally. However, the rectus abdominus and external obliques (which are visible) are also activated to posteriorally tilt and abduct the pelvis, hence, the abdominal aprt of the exercise.

A better way to do this is to lay supine with your legs straight and pointed towards the ceiling. Then, using your abs, lift your butt off the mat, feet moving towards the ceiling. You'll only move a rew inches, but you'll feel it!
